We are so thankful for our students and their great attitudes this se- mester. This truly has been an unprecedented year, but we have seen tremendous growth in our students and experienced a sweet spirit of thankfulness. Our LAC teachers could not be more proud of our stu- dents and all they have accomplished this year. During this unique se- mester, the LAC has offered three performance classes, two new dance classes, and three new voice classes. All of our private lesson teachers are filled to capacity and we truly only attribute that to one thing… God! God continues to allow the LAC to impact young lives for Jesus Christ. He continues to allow us to grow skilled musicians, thespians, and artists to use their gifts to change the world for Jesus. So, with this, we celebrate because God is at work, and we continue to look to Him and rely on Him for everything! We hope you enjoy our Winter Recitals and Performances. We look forward to seeing you in our Spring Semester “Celebrate Good Times!” Blessings Galore! Wendy Stevens Gianna Vyas, student of Jenny Kress Instructor Bios Christy Elafros has had a love for music from her earliest memories. Her music journey began on an educational family trip to Williamsburg, VA, when at the age of 6 she watched the Fife and Drum Corp march down the colonial streets. She begged her parents to buy her a fife souvenir, and on the 13 hour drive home, she started playing hymns and other songs by ear in their entirety. Her parents were amazed, and it was at this point, her gift of music was recognized, encouraged, and fanned into flame! Elementary through high school, Christy had the privilege of taking private lessons and theory lessons from a retired collegiate music professor. She received her Bachelors of Mu- sic with Flute emphasis from the Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, IL. She has had the immense blessing of traveling across the US, as well as to Nor- way, Sweden, and Denmark leading music ministry concerts that shared the hope of the gospel through music. In 2008, she was asked to plan and lead the musical worship for an Israel tour through the Moody Bible Institute/Morning Star tours. She has led K-8 classroom music at two different classical Chris- tian schools in Chicago, IL, and started instrumental band programs at each. She also taught private lessons in Chicago’s Chinatown. Emily Emmett is thrilled to be joining the LAC family! She recently made the move back to her hometown of Flower Mound after living in New York City for two years. Growing up, Emily started theatre at a young age and for 8 years, you could hear her on the radio as a Radio Disney kid. She was the inaugural Best Actress winner for the Dallas Summer Musical High School Musical Awards, and performed in New York at the Minskoff Thea- tre. Emily holds a Bachelor of Music in Musical theatre from Oklahoma City University. When she's not teaching, Emily is performing all over the metroplex.Favorite roles include: Eponine (Les Mis), Polly (Crazy for You), Judy Haynes (White Christmas), Meredith (Batboy!), Margo Crawford (Bright Star), Ruth (Pirates of Penzance), and Luisa (Nine). Emily is passion- ate about children and passing on the love of theatre to new generations. She currently serves as the Middle School Theatre Director at Liberty Christian School and teaches in high school and lower school as well. Instructor Bios Jennifer Freeman opened the LAC three years ago and is grateful for all the students that God has brought to this program. She currently serves as the Creative/Managing Director and directs the Theatre Co., Kids, and Junior Musical Theatre Performing Classes. She also serves as the Fine Arts Theatre Director at Liberty Christian School. She established the Theatre Co. three years ago and paved a way for them to compete at the Junior

For Immediate Release BLINK-182 HEADS TO HARD ROCK HOTEL & CASINO ATLANTIC CITY FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 21 AT 7 PM Atlantic City, NJ (July 23, 2018) – Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City welcomes pop- punk rockers blink-182 to Hard Rock Live at Etess Arena on Friday, September 21 at 7 p.m. Tickets are on-sale this Friday, July 27 at 10 a.m. “We are always stoked to get back on the road and play for our fans” say blink-182. “We’re looking forward to playing really fun shows for you all.” Since their humble beginnings twenty-five years ago, when they started playing in a San Diego garage, blink-182 has sold over fifty million albums worldwide and rocked audiences from Adelaide to Zurich having become one of the defining rock bands of their generation. They combine high-energy dynamics with an artistic ambition that transcends any genre. Now with Matt Skiba (of Alkaline Trio) as singer/guitarist, the group has entered a new chapter. Early in 2016, Skiba finally entered the studio with bassist Mark Hoppus and drummer Travis Barker. Although the band had written more than 30 songs in the months before the sessions, once they started working with producer John Feldmann, they soon discarded all the old material and California was born. While blink-182 has already racked up more than their fair share of platinum records and blockbuster singles, Hoppus emphasized, "We're not just a greatest-hits band, although we will play the hits. Blink is alive and well and we're excited about doing cool new stuff.” According to The New York Times, "No punk band of the 1990s has been more influential than blink-182.” Tickets for blink-182 ranging from $39.00 to $59.00 go on sale this Friday, July 27 at 10 AM.

As recently pointed out in Rolling Stone’s “Summer Tour Guide,” the tour will see nine acts joining rock superstars Linkin Park, who are also offering concertgoers a digital souvenir pack that includes a recording of the band’s entire set.
