Thank you and have fun, Pete, Jill, Lana and Clayton Houck SUCCESS STORY on a Horse Purchased at our 2016 Spring Sale We purchased Stetson last year at Houck's Spring Horse Sale. I did a lot of looking for horses last Spring and drove many miles trying to find the right horse for our family. I had a certain criteria list that I tried to stick to when looking for a safe family horse. One of my top criteria's is to know the history of the horse. So imagine my change when I decided to buy Stetson at an Auction. Why would I change my mind on this key and very important issue? This is how it happened: First, someone referred me to them and I began reading many successful horse sale stories with the Houck's. Second the Houck's are pretty well known in the area I live in so I knew their integrity. Third and probably most importantly, I was able to visit the ranch and ride the horses that Pete thought would make a good fit for our family a week before the auction. I rode 5 that day including Stetson. (Lana was crawling all over Stetson & he didn't seem to mind at all.) That day I decided 4 of the 5 could just be the horse I was looking for. Stetson being in the top 3. As they say, water over the dam, because I brought my husband to the Sale both Friday and Saturday. This was our first auction and it was pretty exciting. And we were fortunate to purchase Stetson. He fit right in with our older horses. We didn't hesitate to lead our 4 year old grandson on him bareback. My husband really likes riding him and he looks great on him too. I enjoy riding him and doing half passes and he is so light in the mouth/neck reins beautifully. We are looking forward to riding and getting to know Stetson even more through out the years. He is a very sweet & beautiful grade paint ranch horse and I am grateful to have him.
