Assassination Leads to Warfare in AMC+'s 'Gangs of London'

London is torn apart by the power struggles after the head of one of the city's most powerful crime families is assassinated in AMC+'s new series, Gangs of London.
The series stars Joe Cole (Peaky Blinders, Pure, Black Mirror), Ṣổpẹ̕ DìrÃsù (Humans), Colm Meaney (Star Trek, Hell on Wheels, Layer Cake), Lucian Msamati (His Dark Materials, Black Earth Rising, Kiri), Michelle Fairley (Game of Thrones, Suits) Paapa Essiedu (Press, Kiri) and Pippa Bennett-Warner (MatherFatherSon, Harlots, Sick Note).
For 20 years, Finn Wallace (Meaney) has been London's most powerful criminal in London. But now he's dead - and nobody knows who ordered the hit. Now it's up to the impulsive Sean Wallace (Cole), with the help of Ed Dumani (Masamti) and his family, to take his father's place.
If the situation wasn't already dangerous enough, Sean's assumption of power causes ripples throughout the world of international crime. He turns to would-be friend Elliot Finch (DìrÃsù) to be an ally, and Finch finds himself suddenly enmeshed in the inner workings of London's largest criminal organization where he learns there are actually much more shadowy powers at play. Gangs of London is created by Gareth Evans and Matt Flannery and is produced by Pulse Films in association with Sister for Sky Studios. The series was executive produced by Pulse Films' founder Thomas Benski, and Lucas Ochoa alongside Jane Featherstone for Sister and Gabriel Silver for Sky Studios. AMC will serve as co-producer for the second season.
The first three episodes of Gangs of London premiere Thursday, Oct. 1 on AMC's new premium streaming service, AMC+, with one new episode debuting each Thursday after that.
