Chemistry is the study of matter, its composition, properties, and the changes they undergo. Specifically it studies atoms, molecules, and ions. Chemistry is often regarded as the "central" science because it provides a foundation for understanding both basic and applied scientific disciplines at a fundamental level. The main branches of chemistry are Biochemistry, Organic Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, and Analytical Chemistry.
