There are over 150 recipes, half of them low fat and heart healthy (there's a separate list of these with the percentage of calories from fat and fat grams given). Although some of the recipes are time-honored classics, many are imaginative, creative and simple to prepare. A section of attractive color photographs includes step-by-step illustrations for making sushi.Cooking Vegetarian is a low-key, easy-going introduction to vegetarian cooking to go along with Melina's earlier classic, Becoming Vegetarian.
