2091 BC Abraham Enters Canaan

2066 BC Isaac was born to Abraham & Sarah. Isaac's descendents eventually become the Hebrew Nations

2067 BC Ishmael was born to Abraham & Sarah's servant, Hagar. Ishmael's descendents eventually become the Nations of Islam

1915 BC Jacob born to Isaac

1898 BC Jacob has many children. Joseph is the youngest and is most favored

1898 BC His jealous siblings sell Joseph into slavery

1885 BC Joseph becomes ruler of all Egypt. His rule lasts eighty years

1526 BC Moses is born and adopted by Pharos's daughter; raised as a prince. Unknown Moses is banished from Egypt. He becomes a herdsman and marries.

Unknown Moses is charged by Our Lord to lead the Hebrews from slavery in Egypt to freedom in the Promised Land. 1446 BC After suffering many plagues, Egypt releases the Hebrews: The EXODUS

1445 BC Moses is given The Ten Commandments by Our Lord.

1445 BC In a rage brought on by the recidivism of the Hebrew people, namely worshiping false Gods and immorality, Moses destroys The Ten Commandments.

1445 BC Moses returns to the mount where he was given The Ten Commandments, and is given them a second time. Moses is ordered by God to lead the Hebrews aimlessly until all of those who participated in Idolatry die. As punishment for destroying the first set of Ten Commandments, God forbids Moses from entering the Promised Land. 1406 BC Moses Dies, and Joshua becomes ruler of the Hebrews.

1406 BC After wandering in the wilderness for forty years, the Hebrews enter the Promised Land (Canaan).

1050 BC Saul becomes the first King of Israel 1 1010 BC David becomes the second King of Israel

970 BC Solomon succeeds David and is Israel's third King

959 BC Solomon builds the great temple in Jerusalem

930 BC Israel divides.

With the dissolution of Israel, the Hebrew people endure almost 900 years of being dominated by Major and Minor Prophets and Kings, as well as being occupied by foreign countries. During that time the Hebrews were repeatedly promised by God that they would be delivered from their oppressors by an anointed one: the Messiah. With Rome's domination of Northern Africa, Israel is under their rule at the time of the events depicted in the New Testament.

37 BC Rome appoints Herod the Great as king of Israel.

25 BC The Virgin Mary is born.

5/6 BC John the Baptist is born to Elizabeth (Mary's cousin), and Zechariah both are elderly and far past the ages of childbearing. It was considered a miracle. 5/6 BC Rome ordered census to be taken. Therefore Mary and her husband Joseph travel to Bethlehem. There, in humble surroundings, the Virgin Mary gives birth to Jesus.

5/6 BC Three Kings, Wisemen from distant lands are led by a shining bright star to the newborn Jesus. They, kings all, humble themselves, fall down on their knees and worship the new King of Kings, and present him with many wonderful gifts.

5/6 BC Herod the Great orders the slaughter of all male children under the age of one. Warned of this by an angel of the Lord, Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus flee to Egypt.

4 AD Herod the Great dies a horrible death. Mary, Joseph and the babe Jesus, return to Israel.

5 AD Saint Paul is born (his birth name is Saul)

6 AD As a boy, Jesus visits the temple in Jerusalem.

26 AD John the Baptist begins his ministry, preparing the way for the Messiah, Jesus Christ.

28 AD Jesus begins his mission.

29 AD John the Baptist is beheaded by the order of Herrod Antipas (Agrippa). 2 30 AD Jesus is seen as a threat to the establishment and is marked for death by the Pharisee

30 AD Jesus is betrayed, crucified, dead and buried: thus paying the price of salvation for all sinners, for all time.

30 AD On the third day, Jesus rises from the dead. The Resurrection.

30 AD Jesus spends the next forty days teaching his followers the ways of the Lord. On the fortieth day, Jesus ascends to heaven. Hosanna in the Highest!

35 AD St. Paul, a vicious anti-Christian, is converted to Christianity by the spirit of Jesus. St. Paul becomes Christ's most effective supporter. He was responsible for the formation of many of the first Christian Churches and wrote many of the books in the New Testament.

70 AD Rome destroys Jerusalem.

75 AD Revelation, the last book of the Bible, is written.
