La FNPI ha renovado y ampliado su misión para adaptarse a los nuevos retos y demandas que han venido surgiendo en el sector de medios y periodismo. Es así como la Fundación trabaja por la excelencia del pe- riodismo y su contribución a los procesos de democracia y desarrollo de los países iberoamericanos y del Caribe, a través de talleres y seminarios de formación e intercambio entre periodistas, colaboración en redes y estímulos al desarrollo profesional. Para cumplir esta misión, la FNPI articula sus proyectos alrededor de tres líneas de actuación: • En materia de formación y desarrollo profesional de periodistas, el modelo pedagógico de los programas de la FNPI se basa en el taller como espacio de interaprendizaje a través de la práctica y el intercambio de experiencias. En desarrollo de esta primera línea de actuación más de 5.200 reporteros y editores de todos los países iberoamericanos han participado en 272 talleres y seminarios organizados por la FNPI. • La FNPI busca estimular la calidad periodística. Esta segunda línea agrupa actividades de reconocimien- to, incentivo y difusión de la FNPI, tales como el Premio Nuevo Periodismo, conferencias, seminarios de intercambio y publicaciones, a través de las cuales se proyecta el debate profesional y la promoción de la excelencia hacia ámbitos amplios de periodistas, organizaciones y audiencias. • La FNPI promueve acciones para crear y sostener redes de comunicación y comunidades de práctica para apoyar el trabajo de medios y periodistas con intereses y necesidades coincidentes. Esta tercera línea implica desarrollar estrategias integrales de gestión del conocimiento y servir como nodo articulador de organizaciones que apoyan medios y periodistas en Iberoamérica y el Caribe, como lo ha hecho al coordinar la participación del grupo de América Latina y el Caribe en el GFMD.     Disclaimer The views expressed herein are those of the Authors and editors and not necessarily those of the United Nations EQUIP YOURSELF The United Nations Guide on Anti-Corruption Policies, which contains a general outline of the nature and scope of the problem of corruption and a description of the major elements of anti-corruption policies, suitable for use by political officials and senior policy-makers. The United Nations Handbook on Practical Anti-Corruption Measures for Prosecutors and Investigators is part of a larger package of materials intended to provide information and resource materials for countries developing and implementing anti-corruption strategies at all levels, as well as for other elements of civil society with an interest in combating corruption. The package consists of the following major elements. The United Nations Anti-Corruption Toolkit, which contains a detailed set of specific Tools intended for use by officials called upon to elaborate elements of a national anti-corruption strategy and to assemble these into an overall strategic framework, as well as by officials called upon to develop and implement each specific element. The Compendium of International Legal Instruments on Corruption, in which all the major relevant global and regional international treaties, agreements, resolutions and other instruments are compiled for reference. These include both legally binding obligations and some "soft-law" or normative instruments intended to serve as non-binding standards.
