See the full gallery. The Dream World Poet Anderson: The Dream Walker an alternate universe created by humankind's shared unconscious Poet Anderson: The Dream Walker. When Poet Anderson journeys deep into this world, he meets his Dream Walker, Poet Anderson: The Dream Walker mysterious guardian angel who leads Poet to confront his demons and his destiny. The ideas are somewhat interesting, however the characters lack any defining traits and seem to be just there, there is almost no explanation for any events, making the story hard to follow, and there doesn't appear to be any end goal for the characters to reach, causing the Poet Anderson: The Dream Walker to wander around aimlessly. The art direction and designs are appealing, interesting and original, the CGI is blended with the 2d animation perfectly, even if it is sometimes obvious, and the animation is very well done, with fluid movements and good choreography and direction, however the colors, while fitting the mood of the scene, fail to distinguish foreground and background objects due to a lack of contrast. The film focuses on the title character Poet, who discovers his guardian angel and destiny inside the Dream World, an Poet Anderson: The Dream Walker universe created by humankind's shared unconscious thoughts. DeLonge had the concept for the character dating back a decade before writing an initial screenplay. The brothers put together a small team and independently worked on the Poet Anderson: The Dream Walker over a two-year period. The story of the short is intended to be the first in an overarching multimedia project that spans books, a graphic novel, and an eventual feature-length film. Poet Anderson, a lucid dreamer[1] is led into an alternate universe where he meets his guardian angel, the Dream Walker, as well as his greatest fear, the Night Terror. Poet must confront his demons as his real life and dream world collide. DeLonge first created the Poet character in in a hotel room in Paris. Martins informed DeLonge he was open for animation work, and DeLonge invited he and his twin brother, Edgar Martins, to work on the film.     WALKER EVANS IN NEW YORK: PHOTOGRAPHY AND URBAN CULTURE, 1927–1934 A Dissertation Presented to the Faculty of the Graduate School of Cornell University In Partial Fulfillment of the Requirements for the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy by Antonello Frongia August 2015 © 2015 Antonello Frongia ALL RIGHTS RESERVED WALKER EVANS IN NEW YORK: PHOTOGRAPHY AND URBAN CULTURE, 1927–1934 Antonello Frongia, Ph.D. Cornell University, 2015 This dissertation offers the first systematic study of the photographs taken by Walker Evans in New York City and its vicinity between 1927 and 1934, a formative period that preceded the full consecration of his work in the second half of the 1930s. About 200 urban photographs in the collection of the J. Paul Getty Museum and a significant body of negatives in the Metropolitan Museum’s Walker Evans Archive indicate that Evans’s early work was mostly devoted to the theme of the modern me- tropolis. Cross-referencing Evans’s images with contemporary photographs, aerial views, architectural plans, insurance maps, drawings, and verbal descriptions, this study aims to identify the exact subjects, the places, and whenever possible the dates of this previ- ously uncharted body of urban photographs. The resulting catalog of over 300 images suggests the contours of an unfinished project on New York City that Evans developed in the years immediately preceding and following the Wall Street crash of 1929. On a different level, this dissertation addresses the question of Evans’s visual educa- tion in the context of the “transatlantic modernism” of the 1920s and ’30s. In particular, it shows that Evans, despite his early literary ambitions, was fully conversant with the work of visual artists, architects, and critics of the Machine Age.
