As part of this initiative, COUNTRY Armenia’s rich and diverse range of musical genres will be showcased to Midem’s global audience in Cannes. The country of honour programme at Midem is sponsored by the Tashir Group. OF HONOUR The country has produced a wealth of international music talent, including the legendary Charles Aznavour, the Grammy-nominated Armenian-American rock band System of a Down, Oscar-winning composer Michel Legrand, celebrated classical composer Michel Petrossian, and Tigran Hamasyan, the piano prodigy .
