■2020 marks PAC-MAN’s 40th anniversary To bring light to PAC-MAN’s 40th anniversary, we have begun promotion of our global theme, “JOIN THE PAC”, to people around the world from January 1 and extending into December 31 in an effort to bring PAC-MAN closer to everyone’s home. Be on the lookout as we make more game announcements in 2020, and introduce various collaborations, such as a PAC-MAN anniversary compilation album produced by popular artists, PAC-MAN taking stage in the latest of technologies and AI research, and more. Commemorative PAC-MAN 40th Anniversary Line-Up

■New PAC-MAN game, “PAC-MAN LIVE STUDIO”, available through Twitch We will be releasing a brand new PAC-MAN game developed in cooperation with Amazon Games for the world’s leading live streaming platform, Twitch. The game will feature a score based, 4-player team battle in Live Mode, stage creation and building in Studio Mode, and Classic Mode where players can play the original PAC-MAN game and try to rank amongst throughout the world. We look forward to seeing everyone enjoy the world of PAC-MAN with players from around the world on Twitch.

■Second release to Amazon Alexa’s audio content, “PAC-MAN Stories” In the summer of 2020, we will be releasing the second story, “PAC-MAN and the Ghostly Snack Attack” for “PAC-MAN Stories”, which was released as an audio content for Amazon Alexa in 2018. The audio content entertains and helps children learn about various educational subjects, such as protecting the environment, choosing actions to take as you traverse the story alongside PAC-MAN.

■NVIDIA’s latest AI tech demo to feature PAC-MAN PAC-MAN is featured in the latest NVIDIA AI model, NVIDIA GameGAN. NVIDIA is a US based, tech giant with a proven record of accomplishments in the development and sales of GPUs () used in games and prominent AI models. NVIDIA is currently planning to make the PAC-MAN featured demo available to the public in the near future. BANDAI NAMCO Research Inc., a of BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment, has been offering the original game file with a view to help promote research within the field of AI technologies. BANDAI NAMCO Research is also adopting PAC-MAN in other researches in order to promote the latest in technologies, such as AR. ■PAC-MAN’s 40th anniversary compilation album pre-distribution now available PAC-MAN’s commemorative 40th anniversary compilation CD album will be available in fall of 2020. The CD album will feature the official 40th anniversary theme track, “JOIN THE PAC” created by the world-renowned techno artist, KEN ISHII, as well as a variety of other PAC-MAN inspired music pieces. The jacket is designed by the UK based, The Designers Republic™⁠ , and the mastering is handled by Yoshinori Sunahara, a former member of Japan’s popular music group, DENKI GROOVE. The CD album will feature many famous artists from around the world who have come together to “JOIN” and celebrate PAC-MAN’s 40th anniversary. To commemorate the upcoming release of the CD album, we have released select tracks from various artists recorded on the album as noted below.

■PAC-MAN takes stage as the image character for “The Giant Race” Through our partnership with San Francisco’s Giants Enterprises, PAC-MAN will appear as the image character for the Giants’ hosted marathon, “The Giant Race”, which will be held in the US. PAC-MAN will also take stage in the event’s virtual race. Look for more details to come from The Giant Race official website. ■Tastemakers’s 40th anniversary Arcade1Up release Arcade1Up made a huge hit with their 2018 release of the PAC-MAN home . They are currently preparing for release a special PAC-MAN 40th Anniversary Edition home arcade cabinet designed with a vintage wooden panel made in the image of arcade cabinets from the 80s. The special cabinets are currently available for pre-order, and will be available on a later date for purchase from around the world. The 40th anniversary versions of the PAC-MAN Counter-cade, PAC-MAN Partycade, and PAC-MAN Head-to-Head arcade table will also be available in summer 2020.

■Cook and Becker to release a PAC-MAN 40th anniversary book The Netherlands based publisher, Cook and Becker will be publishing a commemorative deluxe art book featuring PAC-MAN’s 40 years of history and design. The book will dive deep into the archives as it goes through the changes in design from the 80s, as well as how the game made an impact to the pop culture generation. ■Events and online campaigns in collaboration with Alibaba Early commemoration of PAC-MAN’s birthday was held in collaboration with China’s multinational e-commerce company, Alibaba Group back in April through the online campaign, “想要的豆在这里 (EVERYTHING YOU WANT FOR PAC-MAN IS HERE)”. The campaign promoted various new products and original AR games, leading to a rise in popularity on China’s popular SNS platform, Weibo. The campaign website generated more than 260 million views, and brought PAC-MAN closer to everyone to enjoy. Many themed products are in line to hit China’s market coming from various companies, such as the sports brand - New Balance, China’s major home appliance company - SUPOR, fashion brand - SuaMoment, and from a wide breadth of brands such as Midea, LayCiga, contigo, and more. PAC-MAN will also appear as a special guest at the grand opening event for LONGWAN LongHu Street shopping mall in Nanjing in June, making it the first live event to be held for PAC-MAN’s 40th anniversary. Aside from online endeavors, more live events for PAC-MAN will follow with another shopping mall event themed after PAC-MAN to be held in July at Beijing apm.

■Support for Japan’s longtime establishment through “SHINISE & ASOBI PROJECT (Establishments and ASOBI Project)” We will begin a collaboration project under the Japanese catch phrase, “tradition is a series of innovations,” using PAC-MAN, which has innovated through its 40-years of history, to help support Japan’s constantly evolving traditions and cultures. The project will be produced by STARMARK CO.,LTD., who has planned and developed the project, and we will be releasing products and services in collaboration with a variety of long-established brands in Japan, which will be announced in order from summer of 2020. ■PAC-MAN 40th anniversary commemorative now available A Tamagotchi collaboration with PAC-MAN has been released in commemoration of PAC-MAN’s 40th anniversary. Watch and care for your Tamagotchi characters with PAC-MAN by your side! The Tamagotchi features PAC-MAN inspired themes, such as Tamagotchi characters eating cherries and being chased by a Ghost, and even comes with the easily recognized PAC-MAN sounds. Also enjoy 2 different original mini-games designed in the image of PAC-MAN. The Tamagotchi comes in yellow and black, and is also available in a deluxe set that comes with a PAC-MAN shaped Tamagotchi case. ■“Drift Spirits” holding a PAC-MAN 40th anniversary campaign BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment will be holding the “PAC-MAN 40th Anniversary” campaign from May 22 (FRI) for the smartphone game, “Drift Spirits”, which is currently available through App Store and Google Play. Players who login during the campaign will incrementally receive PAC-MAN and the ghost, Blinky, along with a special 40th anniversary avatar and sticker that can be emblazoned on XD vehicles. Players will also receive a ☆5 Star rated “[XD] SUBARU BRZ ZC6” on their first day of login during the campaign.

■TV , “That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime” collaboration campaign begins The collaboration campaign between two main characters who both places a heavy emphasis on “eating” has begun. The official portal website of the TV anime, “That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime” (Ten-Sura for short) that will begin its second season airing in October 2020 in japan has opened the “Ten-Sura Store” where fans in japan can purchase a variety of “Ten-Sura” and PAC-MAN collaborative goods, such as t-shirts, caps, and other limited run products. Starting on May 28 (THU), a commemorative collaboration Twitter icon will be distributed through a special campaign website. We will also have a special collaborative game that is accessible from the official portal website from June 2 (TUE). This special collaborative game features the ever-popular PAC-MAN game with the in-game items interchanged with items from the world of the “Ten-Sura”. As a special bonus, when the game is played a cumulative total of 66,610 times (playing homage to Rimuru Tempest’s Japanese name that can be read using the numbers “66610”), a short story written by the author, FUSE, will be made available for everyone to enjoy.

■Paris based art watch brand “LAPS” releases PAC-MAN collaboration watch Beyond Cool Co.,Ltd., in charge of handling Japan’s import and domestic sales of the Paris based art watch brand “LAPS”, has announced a collaborative 6-piece collection of watches themed after cameo 80s game series, , such as “PAC-MAN”, “Galaga”, and “” among other notable game titles. Based on the original works, each watch have been crafted by skilled watchmakers to bring about artistic dials that inspires the fervor over the games played by youths in the early gaming years, while holding a charm that matches the tastes of current generation youths.
