Book Report Stormbreaker Bradley Murphy 5th November, 2019 The title of my book is called Stormbreaker. It was written by Anthony Horowitz. The illustrator is Y uzuru Takasaki . The book is fiction. I thought it was a very good book and also interesting. 1 Setting It is first set in London. Then it takes place in Cornwall in the south west of England. Characters The main character is Alex Rider. He is a 14 year old boy. His uncle Ian Rider apparently died in a car crash. But Alex knew his uncle was very careful when it comes to driving. At Ian Rider’s funeral a man named Alan Blunt went up to Alex and said he was sorry that Ian Rider had passed away. When Mr. Blunt went into his limo one of his guard’s jackets fell and there was a gun in his inside pocket. Then the guard fixed his jacket and went into the limousine and drove off. The next day Alex went to school but he kept thinking about his uncle. Alex went to a scrap yard to look for his uncle’s car. When he found it he looked inside and saw blood on the driver seat and bullet shells. He was shocked to see what had happened. The next day Alex was invited to his uncle’s bank. 2 When he arrived Mr. Blunt was waiting for him. He brought Alex into his office. The office next door belonged to Ian Rider. When they went in to the office he gave Alex cola and talked about Ian Rider.

We're talking about schools, homes, libraries, wherever you are, we're so delighted that you are joining us. And this is a particularly special day because we are about to welcome a fabulous author. But before I introduce him we also have some wonderful children from three South Lanarkshire primary schools. From Quarter Primary School, Leadhills and High Mill Primary School. They might even give you a wave, I don't know. But they're very nice anyway. Aren't they gorgeous? Yeah, they're waving too. Yeah, they're not too cool for school, and neither are you. It's so lovely to have you along. Alex Rider is a 14-year-old spy who works for “MI6”, the British government’s secret intelligence (“spy”) agency. From “Alex Rider: Crocodile Tears” By Anthony Horowitz Chapter One: “Reflections in a Mirror” Alex Rider took one last glance in the mirror, then stopped and looked a second time. It was 20 strange, but he wondered if he recognized the boy who was looking back. There were the thin lips, the slightly chiselled nose and chin, the fair hair hanging in two strands over the dark brown eyes. He raised a hand and, obediently, his reflection did the same. But there was something different about this other Alex Rider. It just wasn’t quite him. Of course, the clothes he was wearing didn’t help. In a few minutes he would be leaving 25 for a New Year’s Eve party being held at a castle on the banks of Loch Arkaig in the Highlands of Scotland – and the invitation had been clear. Dress: black tie. Reluctantly Alex had gone out and rented the entire outfit: dinner jacket, black trousers and a white shirt with a stick•up collar that was too tight and dug into his neck. The one thing he had refused to put on was the pair of polished leather shoes that the shop assistant had insisted would 30 make the outfit complete.
