Book Report Stormbreaker Bradley Murphy 5th November, 2019 The title of my book is called Stormbreaker. It was written by Anthony Horowitz. The illustrator is Y uzuru Takasaki . The book is fiction. I thought it was a very good book and also interesting. 1 Setting It is first set in London. Then it takes place in Cornwall in the south west of England. Characters The main character is Alex Rider. He is a 14 year old boy. His uncle Ian Rider apparently died in a car crash. But Alex knew his uncle was very careful when it comes to driving. At Ian Rider’s funeral a man named Alan Blunt went up to Alex and said he was sorry that Ian Rider had passed away. When Mr. Blunt went into his limo one of his guard’s jackets fell and there was a gun in his inside pocket. Then the guard fixed his jacket and went into the limousine and drove off. The next day Alex went to school but he kept thinking about his uncle. Alex went to a scrap yard to look for his uncle’s car. When he found it he looked inside and saw blood on the driver seat and bullet shells. He was shocked to see what had happened. The next day Alex was invited to his uncle’s bank. 2 When he arrived Mr. Blunt was waiting for him. He brought Alex into his office. The office next door belonged to Ian Rider. When they went in to the office he gave Alex cola and talked about Ian Rider. When Mr. Blunt left, Alex was tempted to run into his uncle’s office but it was locked. So he climbed out the window and jumped over to the other window beside him. Then he went and picked up a book called Stormbreaker. Shortly afterwards a man came in and shot him with a tranquiliser. When he woke up the first person he saw was Alan Blunt. He told Alex that his uncle was a spy for MI6. He told Alex that he to spy on two people called Herod Sayle and Yassen Gregorovich. Then he told Alex that Yassen was the man who killed his uncle. 3 Plot At the beginning of the story Alex wakes up at 3:00pm because he hears the doorbell ring. It is the police so Alex gets up and answers the door. They tell him that his uncle Ian Rider died in a car crash Alex thought that wasn’t right because Ian Rider was very careful when he was driving. Alex then found out that his uncle was shot to death. Later on in the story Alex meets a man named Alan Blunt. He owns a spy agency called MI6. Ian Rider was a spy until he died. Alan Blunt asked Alex to spy on a man named Herod Sayle. Alex didn’t want to. Then Alan Blunt told him that if he refused he would go into an orphanage as his parents died in a plane crash. So Alex had no option and said yes. Then at the end of the story Alex shot Herod Sayle. Later Alex looked for Herod Sayle but he was gone. Alex met with Alan Blunt and was told to go home so he took a taxi. But the driver was Herod Sayle. And he drove Alex to a tall building. Alex couldn’t move because Herod Sayle had a gun pointed to his head. They went inside the building and went to the rooftop. 4 Herod Sayle raised the gun and said goodbye then two shots were fired. Sayle fell to the ground. He was shot dead by Yassen Gregorovich the man who killed Ian Rider. Conclusion I think that this story is very good and interesting. It was very well written. I would advise everyone to read this book. I would rate it 9/10 because it is very good and interesting. 5 .
