Synonyme: Amblyodon longisetus (HEDW.) P. BEAUV. Kennzeichen/Artbestimmung: Meesia longiseta ist ein 4–8 (–10) cm hohes, akrokarpes, unverzweigtes Laubmoos von grün-schwärzlicher Färbung. Die Art wächst in lockeren, weichen Rasen (Abb. 2.9). Das Stämmchen ist bis in die Spitze wurzelhaarig und im Moose Querschnitt dreikantig. Die Blättchen sind mehr oder weniger deutlich in 3 oder 6 Rei- hen angeordnet und vom Stämmchen abgespreizt. Die 2–3,5 mm langen, spitzen Blätt- chen laufen deutlich am Stämmchen herab, sind oberwärts gekielt, ganzrandig oder an der Spitze etwas gezähnt. Ihre deutlich entwickelte Rippe endet unterhalb der Blattspitze. Der Blattrand ist flach. Die Laminazellen sind rechteckig bis rhombisch und etwa 14 µm breit. Die rötlichen, gedrehten Seten der synözischen Art können über 10 cm lang wer- den. Die langbirnenförmige, aufrechte Kapsel hat einen deutlichen Hals. Bei der Spo- renreife im Juni und Juli werden die mit 36–44 µm Durchmesser recht großen Sporen frei- gesetzt. Die Chromosomenzahl ist nicht bekannt (FRITSCH 1991). Differenzierende Merkmale zu den ähnlichen Arten Meesia uliginosa und M. hexasticha sind der nicht ein- gerollte Blattrand, die kleineren Sporen und der Rippenquerschnitt mit kleinen, inneren Zellen (zusammengestellt nach CRUM & ANDERSON 1981, FRAHM 1979, LIMPRICHT 1895). Biodiversity Data Journal 7: e32307. https://doi.org/10.3897/BDJ.7.e32307 Abstract Background This study produced a dataset containing information on moss occurrences in the territory of Yugyd Va National Park, located in the Subpolar and Northern Urals, European North- East Russia. The dataset summarises occurrences noted by long-term bryological explorations in remote areas of the Subpolar and Northern Urals from 1943 to 2015 and from studies published since 1915. The dataset consists of 4,120 occurrence records. The occurrence data were extracted from herbarium specimen labels (3,833 records) and data from published literature (287 records). Most of the records (4,104) are georeferenced. A total of 302 moss taxa belonging to 112 genera and 36 families are reported herein to occur in Yugyd Va National Park. The diversity of bryophytes in this National Park has not yet been fully explored and further exploration will lead to more taxa. -

A total of 1037 bryophyte specimens were collected from the research area in the different vegetation periods between 2016 and 2017. As a results of this study; 193 taxa (1 hornwort, 34 liverworts, 158 mosses) belonging to 113 genera and 55 families were determined. Among them, Sphagnum contortum Schultz is recorded for the second time from Turkey and also 11 taxa are new for the A2 grid-square according to the Turkish grid square system adopted by Henderson (1961). In addition, in the floristic list all taxa, with their Turkey distributions, which are determined by reviewing the related all literatures, and IUCN categories in European countries, moreover life forms of bryophytes and some ecological features such as; (humidity, light, acidity) are given. Rothero A guide to recording mosses and liverworts prepared by members of the British Bryological Society i FOREWORD It is my pleasure as Recording Secretary of the British Bryological Society to commend to you this Handbook, setting out our procedures and recommendations for the future. All the authors of the Handbook are seasoned recorders. The Handbook distils our experience. In 1964, I recorded bryophytes on Harold Whitehouse’s Cambridge excursions. In 2012, I continue to record the bryophytes of Cambridgeshire with great enjoyment. The changes over 47 years are remarkable. Back in the 1960s Plagiochila asplenioides and Rhytidiadelphus triquetrus were common and locally abundant in the boulder-clay woods. Now they are scarce and seen only in small quantity. In those days, pollution-sensitive epiphytes such as Cryphaea heteromalla, Orthotrichum lyellii and O. pulchellum were absent or very rare. Now we see them on most excursions. Sometimes the causes of change are obvious: atmospheric sulfur has decreased dramatically, so the epiphytes have returned. But without good recording both here and in the rest of Europe, we cannot see clearly what is happening or understand Published 2012 by the British Bryological Society its wider significance. E-mail: [email protected] Abstract: The updated list of Estonian bryophytes includes 594 species from all three phyla. Only one species is reported for Estonia according to the literature data, all others have voucher speciemens in herbaria, two of them outside of Estonia. Altogether 242 species are frequent in Estonia, 173 species are rare, and 161 are sporadically distributed. We do not have any recent data for 20 species, and their presence in Estonia is doubtful. In 2008 a new Estonian Red list was compiled and 369 bryophyte species were evaluated against IUCN criteria. Approximately one fifth of the Estonian bryoflora (129 species) is designated to the three threat categories.
