EXHORDER – Im September Auf „Storms Hide the Ground“- Europatour – GAMA BOMB Und EVIL INVADERS Als Support Bestätigt EXHORDER – Im September auf „Storms Hide The Ground“- Europatour – GAMA BOMB und EVIL INVADERS als Support bestätigt Im Herbst gibt ´s einen beinharten Hammer: Wenn die Liveszene langsam wieder aus dem Corona- Schlaf erwacht, rütteln die US-Kult-Thrasher von EXHORDER die Metalwelt gebührend aus der Lethargie. Die Band aus New Orelans/Louisiana gilt als Mitbegründer des Groove-orientierten Thrash Metals und haben Größen wie Pantera oder Machine Head maßgeblich beeinflusst. Satte 27 Jahre ließ sich die 1985 gegründete Combo Zeit, bis 2019 ihr neues Studioalbum „Mourn The Southern Skies“ erschien. Es ist das Nachfolgewerk des bis heute als absoluter Thrash Metal-Meilenstein geltenden Albums „The Law“. Auch live hielt sich die Präsenz der Herren in den letzten zweieinhalb Jahrzehnten auf europäischem Boden sehr in Grenzen, weshalb die Tour ein echtes Highlight für alle Fans härterer Klänge darstellen dürfte. „Die großartigste Erinnerung an unsere Europatour 2019 ist definitiv, wie viele junge und alte Fans zu unseren Shows kamen“, sagt Kyle Thomas von Exhorder. „Lange haben wir drauf gewartet, endlich wieder in den Niederlanden und in Deutschland spielen zu können. Im Jahr 2021 wollen wir das wiederholen. Wir haben neue Shows in Belgien und Frankreich, was sich irgendwie vertraut anfühlt, und wir werden zum ersten Mal in Polen und Ungarn sein! Wir sind genauso hungrig wie ihr alle, endlich wieder auf einer Bühne zu stehen und gemeinsam mit euch für ordentlich schweißtreibende Liveshows zu sorgen.“ Als Support-Acts sind GAMA BOMB und EVIL INVADERS mit von der Partie, die die Auftrittsslots in rotierender Reihenfolge belegen. Mit GAMA BOMB gesellen sich fünf Thrasher aus Newry/Irland ins Billing. 2002 gegründet, schlägt die Band einen sehr 80er-lastigen Stil ein, der an frühe Nuclear Assault oder Kreator erinnert. 2020 erschien ihr letztes Studioalbum „Sea Savage“. EVIL INVADERS aus Belgien zählt zu den jüngeren Szene-Vertretern des Thrash und Speed Metals. 2007 gegründet, wird ihr Sound gerne mit frühen Annihilator verglichen. Ihr letztes Album „Feed Me Violence“ erschien 2017. Die Band befindet sich derzeit im Studio, um den Nachfolger dazu aufzunehmen. „Es ist für uns super-aufregend, unsere erste umfangreiche Tour seit 2013 in Europa zu spielen. 'Sea Savage' war unser bisher bestes Album und wir freuen uns sehr darauf, es live vorzustellen “, sagen die Jungs von GAMMA BOMB. Auch ihre Kollegen von EVIL INVADERS freuen sich: "Wir sehnen uns danach, wieder auf die Straße zu gehen und können es kaum erwarten, diese Shows nach dem Sommer zu machen. Wir werden auf der Tour explodieren, verpasst das bloß nicht!“ Das Line Up wird außerdem noch von einem Opening Act komplettiert, der hierzulande bereits gehörig von sich reden machte: CHRONOSPHERE. Die Griechen standen zuletzt als Anheizer für OVERKILL auf den europäischen Bühnen. Die Athener gibt es seit 2009. Neben Overkill teilte das Quartett auch bereits mit Sodom, Tankard, Destruction und Carcass eine Bühne. Brown, Advisor Between 1984 and 1991, heavy metal became one of the most publicly popular and commercially successful rock music subgenres. The focus of this dissertation is to explore the following research questions: How did the subculture of heavy metal music between 1984 and 1991 evolve and what meanings can be derived from this ongoing process? How did the contextual circumstances surrounding heavy metal music during this period impact the performative choices exhibited by artists, and from a position of retrospection, what lasting significance does this particular era of heavy metal merit today? A textual analysis of metal- related materials fostered the development of themes relating to the selective choices made and performances enacted by metal artists. These themes were then considered in terms of gender, sexuality, race, and age constructions as well as the ongoing negotiations of the metal artist within multiple performative realms. Occurring at the juncture of art and commerce, heavy metal music is a purposeful construction. Metal musicians made performative choices for serving particular aims, be it fame, wealth, or art. These same individuals worked within a greater system of influence. Metal bands were the contracted employees of record labels whose own corporate aims needed to be recognized.
