Väikesaartele toimub reageerimine erinevalt ning sõltuvalt aastaajast on reageerimine raskendatud. Ühtseid põhimõtteid rahvaarvu või sündmuste arvu kohta ei ole. Lõputöö eesmärk on analüüsida päästesündmusi väikesaartel aastatel 2009-2017 ning järeldada, millist päästevõimekust vajavad püsiasutustega väikesaared. Lõputöös antakse saartest ülevaade, mis on valimis välja toodud ning visualiseeritakse joonise abil saartel elavate püsielanike arv. Eesmärgi saavutamiseks kasutati kvantitatiivset uurimismeetodit, kus Häirekeskuselt saadud andmed korrastati ja analüüsiti. Sugisrandel peatuvaid seokurgi (Gnis SI.IIS) on Hiiumaal regulaarselt loendatud alates 1982. aastast. Kurgede peatuspaigad asuvad valdavalt saare ida- la lfiunaosas, eeskatt Kiilia ja Hellamaa umbruses Koondumispiivkonnad on aastati olnud samad, kuid nende suhteline osatihtsus on varieerunud suurtes piirides. Kokku on Hiiumaal ajaperioodil 1982.- 2002. a. sugiseti loendatud 96042311 peatuvat sookurge. Uldarvukus on suurtes piirides varieerunud ning margata on ndrka langustrendi, mis ei ole aga statistiliselt oluline. Peatuvate sookurgede arvukus sdltub olulisel rnaaral p6llurnajandustootmise struktuurist ja mahust saarel. Statistil~seltolulised positiivsed seosed leiti kurgede arvukuse ning talinisu, talirukki ja odra kasvupindade vahel, k6ige tugevamad olid need Hellamaa koondise puhul. Oluline negatiivne seos ilmnes suvinisu ning kaera kulvipinna ja sookurgede arvukuse vahel. Sissejuhatus Hiiumaal on siigisrartdel peatuvate sookul-gede (Grus grus) arvukust ja levikut jalgitud alates 1980. aastate algusest. Esimene iildloendus toimus 1982. a, ning seejarel on seda standardse metoodika jargi jarjepidevalt tehtud kuni tanaseni (Leito & Leito 1995, Leito 2000, 2002a). Peatuvate sookurgede arvukuse seost pdllumajandusega ei ole Hiiumaal ega mujal Eestis varem uuritud. See on aga oluline, sest p6llumajanduslikud
