L'evento: a Quattro Anni Di Distanza Dall'ultimo Show Da Headliner L’EVENTO: A quattro anni di distanza dall'ultimo show da headliner tornano i PEARL JAM , band riferimento della musica mondiale, tornano in Italia, per due attesissimi concerti a Milano e Trieste. Per il capoluogo del Friuli Venezia Giulia l’appuntamento riveste una particolare importanza, oltre a essere l’unica data nel Nordest Italia , essa è anche l’unica in tutta l’Europa dell’Est , un evento che richiamerà in città dal 19 al 22 giugno oltre 30 mila persone provenienti da tutta Italia e da gran parte d’Europa. L’evento, fra i più importanti dell’estate musicale internazionale, è organizzato da Live Nation Italia e Azalea Promotion , in collaborazione con la Regione Friuli Venezia Giulia , il Comune di Trieste e l’ Agenzia TurismoFVG. Il concerto è inoltre inserito nella speciale promozione “Music&Live” , (per informazioni www.turismofvg.it , www.musicandlive.it ). LA BAND: I PEARL JAM , gruppo grunge e alternativo rock nato a Seattle nel 1990, sono una della band di maggiore successo della musica mondiale dagli anni novanta, assieme a band come Nirvana, Soundgarden e Alice in Chains, e fino ai giorni nostri, con oltre 60 milioni di dischi venduti . Il primo album dal titolo “ Ten ” esce nel 1991 e rimane in classifica per oltre due anni, una delle opere più vendute della storia del rock con 12 dischi di platino. “Vs ”, il secondo album in studio arriva solo un anno dopo; nella prima settimana di pubblicazione vende ben 950.378 copie, grazie anche alle canzoni che lo compongono come la bellissime “Daughter”, “Dissident”, “Go”, “Animal” e “Rearviewmirror”. In questi anni emerge anche un certo spirito anticommerciale della band, che privilegia la musica vera e propria alla promozione, rifiutandosi di produrre video musicali, riducendo le apparizioni televisive e le interviste, stringendo un legame fortissimo con i propri fan. Il 1994 è l’anno di “ Vitalogy ”, che contiene una delle canzoni culto della band (assieme a “Alive” inclusa nel primo disco) “Better Man”, oltre ad altri capolavori come “Not for You”, “Corduroy”, “Immortality”. “ No Code ” del 1996, rappresenta per molti una rottura con il passato, l’album dopo l’uscita scende rapidamente in classifica, così come il seguente “ Yeld ” (1998) dischi che verranno in seguito ampiamente rivalutati. Nel 1998, il gruppo registra “ Last Kiss ”, cover di un pezzo reso famoso da J. Frank Wilson & the Cavaliers. La cover fu registrata durante un soundcheck e fu inclusa sul singolo natalizio per il “ Ten Club ”, storico fan club della band. Si entra così nel 2000, anno di pubblicazione di “ Binaural ”, lanciato dai singoli “Nothing as It Seems” e “Light Years”. Il settimo album in studio è “ Riot Act ” del 2002, mentre “ Pearl Jam ”, del 2006, che segna il passaggio dalla Epic Records alla JRecords, è considerato come un ritorno alle prime sonorità della band. Dopo la ripubblicazione in quattro versioni del mitico primo album “Ten”, assieme al dvd dell’indimenticabile concerto all’MTV Unplugged del 1992, il 2009 vede l’uscita di “Backspacer ”, anticipato dal singolo “Just Breathe”, votato da critica e pubblico come una delle ballate più belle del nuovo millennio. È dello scorso ottobre l’ultimo album in studio “ Lightning Bolt ”, il decimo per la band di Seattle, anticipato dai singoli “Mind your Manners” e “Sirens”. Da sempre paragonati alle altre band grunge dei primi anni novanta, lo stile dei Pearl Jam è visibilmente meno heavy e più vicino al rock classico degli anni settanta, un sound che fonde i potenti riff del rock da stadio di quegli anni con la durezza e la rabbia del post punk degli anni ottanta. I Pearl Jam sono: Eddie Vedder (voce e chitarra), Stone Gossard (chitarra), Mike McCready (chitarra), Jeff Ament (basso), Matt Cameron (batteria), Kenneth "Boom" Gaspar (tastiere, organo Hammond). IL PUBBLICO DEL CONCERTO: 30 mila persone attese per il weekend da giovedì 19 a domenica 22 giugno. Saranno ben 26 mila i fan provenienti da fuori Regione. Larga parte del pubblico arriverà dall’estero, oltre 10 mila dall’ Est Europa , con Slovenia, Croazia, Serbia, Ungheria, Grecia e Repubblica Ceca su tutti. Molto importante anche la presenza tedesca, con 4 mila fan fra Austria e Germania . Da tutte le regioni d’Italia accorreranno invece a Trieste 12 mila persone. Al momento lo Stadio Nereo Rocco si presenta quasi esaurito, rimangono disponibili circa 100 biglietti di posti tribuna.
