I just broke up with my boyfriend so I can't exactly keep listening to Thinking Out Loud and Adore You... If anyone has some break-up-song recommendations, I like most types of music. Please only suggest recent songs (2012 the oldest) and please nothing upbeat, it just wouldn't fit right.

Just saying if any of you are having a bad day if you listen to Avril's songs you'll be able to find a lot of them relatable and her music always helps me. So y'all should go listen to her albums and see which songs will help you the most coz no lie, they really really help.

I have been crushed by my 19 out of 20 dates its hard me my friend Jon Isaiah Seth and Zach went to Mc Donalds™ and I met this beautiful girl and Her name was Hannah she was so pretty Zach and Jon dared me to ask her out and I'm happy they did and she said yes and she was number 20 but listen a week after we broke up :( and I couldn't breathe it felt like I locked myself in my house called Tyler over and everything but nothing worked it was impossible to get over my friends took me to laser tag I seen that same girl I SHOT HER WITH MY BULLETS OF AWESOMENESS YEAH but it didn't make me feel better Someone tried to get me to result to drinking but I didn't and nothing worked and today I'm still not over it please help me with advice or anything

I'm pretty sure No Doubt's Don't speak deserves to be higher on the list than slot #8. It is well known, will remain a timeless song, its always sung along, has won more awards than any of the other songs on this list, the lyrics alone pierces, the song was actually written by Gwen and band member Tony's about their own break up and still suck it up to remain a band, the vocals have lots of emotion as well as angst and its Gwen anyway. But Im not choosing favoritism here. It really is a great song and well known and a 90's highlight that everyone sang and felt as a break up song. I see how Adele is #1 and the words are nice and its an emotional ballad but its embedded in our mind due to constant rotation on radio and Adele took time for the US to take notice. When don't speak came out it exploded!
Me and my fiance broke up 6 years ago and the pains still there its hard thank God for the songs music always makes things better at least you can have a good cry the only song i aprove as being sad is back to black. the other's are... sad i guess but not the type of sad you want to listen to when you're really sad. they're more like radio sad you know Reply ·
