He’s just a tremendous person to have on the team.” Langworthy says that Sisson is one of the hardest-working kids he has coached. “Jake is a great kid,” he said. “He has been at 100 percent of our off-season stuff. He’s in the weight room three days a week all year long. His dad would drop him off at school at 6am every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday all year long. His parents even drove back early from a vaca- tion in Florida so he wouldn’t miss one of our 7-on-7 games at the Ralph in March.” But Sisson does more than just work on football. He is also a member of the Jamestown basketball and baseball teams. “He did all this work even though he had basketball and baseball practice after school,” Langworthy said. “He would have had an easy way to get out of working for football. We would have understood because we want kids to play other sports. He’s a very focused young man.” Sisson is focused on scoring points this season. “Our objective is to get points on the board in a hurry,” he said. “The coaches set out the game plan for us and then it’s all in the preparation that week.” Against Kenmore West, Sisson did not know how many passing yards he had until late in the game. “I found out on the last play we ran,” he said. “Coach told me I was at 498 and he wanted to get me to 500 so we ran a hitch to Ben Larson.
