Flea (Inuyasha):A Flea Yokai the Gnat:A Very Small and Very Flea (Inuyasha): A flea Yokai The Gnat: A very small and very persistent Gnat has decided to spend these years zooming about my ears. He gives annoying comments and make very bad jokes every now and then. Sibling Rivalry [Ranma] (Inuyasha): Ranma scales with the Jumper somewhat. METALLIC JUMPER (Sonic): A robotic Jumper. Metal Destruction (Sonic Classic): Upgraded METALLIC JUMPER to be better. When beaten it is ‘rebuilt’ and comes back later. Hitler Hate Beams (Captain Planet): Hitler is alive and well (for certain definitions of the word, at least), and is possessed of a hatred so black, foul, and overpowering that his mere presences pollutes the Earth, and his gaze causes all within it to suffer ‘emotional pollution,’ positive feelings muted and negative feelings enhanced. Hitler may slowly but reliably conjure soldiers and weapons of war from polluted environments to wage further war, and he has consolidated his control of central Europe. Grail-Kun (Carnival Phantasm): The Carnival Phantasm corrupted holy grail. Who’s That Guy? (Showa Kamen Rider): A cyborg calling himself Kamen Rider #3, as well as a robot calling itself Kamen Rider #4. Shocker Jumper (Showa Kamen Rider): Shocker Jumper is an Evil Organization's Jumper-Clone. A Strange Mirage (Heisei Kamen Rider): Mirage Agito Warlock Now! (Neo-Heisei Kamen Rider): Kamen Rider Warlock Chain Breakers (Dragon Ball): The Time Breakers Towa, Mira, Dabura, & Putine Dark Seekers (Dragon Ball Z): Enemies will be granted a dark power here, a 'Supervillain Mode' that turns even weak enemies into potent foes undefeatable by the heroes of this world at the point they’re encountered. encountered. Not only that, but enemies will also have advance warning and some pointers on incoming threats as well as how to handle them, being on the whole more informed and competent than they displayed in canon. The Ire of a Goddess [Overlord: The Games]: The Mother Goddess is real, and she is not very happy with you, unlike most times in which she seems to ignore most Overlords, she has decided to send her elves aided by some of her blessings against you, it has to be said that the Elves wont like you at all, if they are all dead then elf ghosts will be finding their way to your lands and attempt to attack you when they find you. Heroic Party [Overlord: The Games]: There is a part of heroes out there, they are all well trained and at least a bit smart in how they will approach you based on what they know about you, they might not be as strong as you, but they got strong magical weapons and will play it smart, they will even recruit any enemies that you got to assist them. Rogue Gallery [Batman, The Animated Series]: Sure, companions are all well and good, but haven’t you ever wanted to see some familiar, unfriendly faces as well? A colorful collection of antagonists to act as the thorn in your side; people that test you? Well, now you can; during your stay here, up to ten original heroes or villains (or anti-heroes or anti-villains or particularly aggressive neutral people or... well, you get the idea) will come about, with their own unique skills, gear, and/or powers. And, inevitably, they will come into conflict with you somehow. .

Samurai Champloo: Transnational Viewing Jiwon Ahn From the original edition of How to Watch Television published in 2013 by New York University Press Edited by Ethan Thompson and Jason Mittell Accessed at nyupress.org/9781479898817 This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial- NoDerivatives 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-ND). 39 Samurai Champloo Transnational Viewing Jiwon Ahn Abstract: Television criticism usually addresses “what” TV is watched, and ofen “who” watches, but “where” TV is watched is less commonly considered vital to understanding it. In this look at the anime program Samurai Champloo, Jiwon Ahn argues for the importance of “where” to the meanings and pleasures of texts which—like anime—circulate in television’s global fows. Watching an imported or translated text on television is an increasingly ordinary experience in the current state of globalization. But what unique critical questions should we consider in order to make sense of such viewings? To understand our de- sire for and pleasure in viewing imported television texts, we need to consider how texts produced for overseas distribution are designed diferently for international audiences, and how this design may infect (or not) our viewing of them. Anime ofers a productive example in that the format’s long history of international circula- tion inevitably involved the development of textual strategies suited to transnational consumption, including, notably, an efort to balance exoticism with familiarity in terms of appeal. While the popularity of shows such as Dragon Ball Z (Cartoon Net- work, 1998–2005), Ranma ½ (Fuji Television, 1989–1992), and InuYasha (Cartoon Network, 2000–2004) on U.S.

  • Chapter One Introduction
CHAPTER ONE INTRODUCTION 1.1.Background of Study Japan has so many traditions of folklore that had inherited for generation whether in story form or in tradition form. With some creativity and existing technology that they had, some Japanese filmmaker has succeeded by making some Japanese folklore into more interesting form and well known by people whether inside Japan or outside Japan. According to Kitayama “Folklore is a stories shared by folk people from the past and these stories are similar to myths, except that they are related more to human matters than to supernatural beings” (Kitayama 2005: 85) By this quotation the writer argue that folklore is cultural product which is produced by people in the past and it is contained of myth and usually, the society will connect the folklore to supernatural even more to human matters. As emphasized by Lindahl, Although many people regard a “folktale” as a fictional form, I use the term here to apply to any traditional tale, whether its tellers consider it true, or false, or both. Thus, the scope of the tale extends far beyond fiction to encompass belief tales, personal experience stories, and accounts of major historical events (Lindahl, 2004: 200). Based on the quotation above, the writer argues that folklore acknowledges the practice of labeling narratives based on the element of belief, he also realizes the inherent story within each and the tendency of storytellers to use a little fiction and a little nonfiction in crafting their stories. Lindahl uses this terminology to put the focus on the storytellers themselves and help the reader to recognize the relationship between tale and teller.

An icy snow, and a warm Heart By MilnhsDoggieboy Submitted: May 28, 2004 Updated: May 28, 2004 Just a short story of Inuyasah and kagome, trapped in a snow storm. Needs mor e but i'll post it now anyways Provided by Fanart Central. http://www.fanart-central.net/stories/user/MilnhsDoggieboy/3668/An-icy-snow-and-warm-Heart Chapter 1 - An Icy snow, and a warm heart 2 1 - An Icy snow, and a warm heart An Icy snow, and a warm heart The snow is coming down hard now and if you went outside you wouldn't be able to see your hand in front of your face. The sound that the snow is making as it hits the roof of the cabin. Is like thunder roaring through the skies. It even shakes the ground and cabin. Miroku, Shippo, Kirara, and Sango went on ahead of Inu-Yasha and the injured Kagome that had to stay behind in a cabin until the storm dies down. They didn’t have any firewood and Inuyasha was to proud to admit he was cold Kagome was freezing and couldn’t help but shiver. Inuyasah:Damnit she’s freezing and theres no blanket in this stupid cabin. I need to find a way to keep her warm. Kagome falls asleep from the cold, her lips turn blue from the cold and Inuyasha wasn’t excatly the warmest person either. He had to do something but couldn’t figure out what. Inuyasha: I know my kimono and shirt, (Inuyasah quickly removes his shirt and kimono and wraps Kagome up in them, he picks her up and holds her sheilding her from the cold) Please don’t die Kagome, I can’t lose you, not when I have you so close to me.
