Sherman Howard’s Broadway credits include Gore Vidal’s The Best Man, A Bengal Tiger In The Baghdad Zoo, All My Sons, and Inherit The Wind. His off- Broadway credits include the title role in Bauer (59E59), Another Part of the Forest (Peccadillo Theatre), and Tell Out My Soul (Public Theatre), Geography of a Horse Dreamer and The Crate (Ensemble Studio Theatre), I’m Not Rappaport (Roundabout). His recent regional credits include Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead (Old Globe), , The Lion in Winter, No Man’s Land, The Cherry Orchard, , the title roles of both Galileo and Enrico IV and Scrooge in A Christmas Carol (Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey). Further regional credits include the title roles of (Kentucky Shakespeare Festival), (North Carolina Shakespeare Festival), and Sheridan (La Jolla Playhouse). He appeared in The Price (Pittsburgh Public), Nine Armenians (Intiman), Jumpers (Northlight Theatre), The Contractor (A.C.T.) His extensive television credits include , Person of Interest, Cold Case, Malcolm in the Middle, Law and Order, , ER, Las Vegas, One Life To Live, Op-Center, The Stand, all three Star Trek spin-offs, et al – along with many and varied animated series, video games, television commercials, etc. After making his living as a professional actor in theater, film, and television for over four decades, Mr. Howard has savored the chance to merge his theatrical skills with his personal passion for concert hall music. He has performed with pianist, David Kaplan in Richard Straus’s Enoch Arden at Bargemusic. In the 2013/14 season he performed with the Philadelphia Orchestra in Rachmaninoff’s “The Bells” conducted by Vladimir Jurowski. He also appeared in the role of Prospero in the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra's unique presentation of Jean Sibelius' The Tempest Suite conducted by Jacque Lacombe.
