Kim Gavin Widely acknowledged as one of the UK’s leading talents in the field of stage direcon, choreography and creave vision. This highly sought aer Brit and BAFTA Award winning director has been the creave force behind some of the most spectacular visions seen by audiences worldwide. Kim Gavin grew up in Bournemouth and trained at the Royal Ballet School. He followed a successful career as a dancer on television and in the theatre, before turning his ability towards choreography and stage direcon. It was in 1992 whilst working as a choreographer on the BBC’s Royal Variety Performance, that Kim first met Take That. Working on their sell- out arena shows introduced him into the world of live events.

Over the last 20 years, Kim has been the creave vision behind some of the most innovave and inspiraonal performances in music and live events. He is now widely recognised as one of the UK's leading Creave Directors, working with some the world’s biggest arsts on TV spectacu- lars and record-breaking stadium shows. In 1997 Kim Directed and Choreographed the 70’s musical “Oh! What A Night”, starring Kid Creole. It opened with fantasc reviews to a sell out season at the Opera House, followed by Manchester Opera House (1998 & 2000), London Apollo, UK Naonal Tour 2001 / 2003. Sydney, Melbourne & Hamburg also in 2003. Kim has contributed creavely to an impressive list of hugely popular TV shows and live events including; Mobo Awards, Golden Jubilee ‘Party At The Palace’, ‘Concert for Diana’ at Wembley Stadium, ‘The Royal Variety Show’ ‘Children In Need Rocks The Albert Hall’, ‘Help For Heroes Con- cert’ and the ‘Invictus Games’ Opening Ceremony Kim has worked alongside many greats including, , Pink, Lulu, Robbie Williams, Anastacia, world famous ballerina Darcey Bussell and opera singer Katherine Jenkins, aer conceiving, direcng and choreo- graphing the live O2 show, ‘Viva La Diva’. He was the creave brain be- hind the breath-taking performance by gold medalists Torvill & Dean on ITV’s ‘Dancing on Ice – a 25 year celebraon of the Bolero dance’. In 2011, Kim was appointed as Arsc Director for the closing ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games and has since re- ceived crical acclaim for his part in Britain’s highest profile event this century. At the start of 2015, Kim worked with Ant & Dec, as Creave Director for the opening of The Brits Awards. He has also connued his longstanding relaonship with Take That, as Arsc Director for their UK and Eu- ropean tours. In September 2015, Kim was Creave Director for the Opening Ceremony of the Rugby World Cup, seng the tone for what was to be a ground- breaking tournament.

In 2016, Kim was Director of ‘The Sessions – A Live Re-Staging of The Beatles at Abbey Road Studios’, a striking cung-edge, immersive show that tells the Beatles story like never done before. October 2016, saw Kim as Director of the Inmissimi On Ice show ‘One Amazing Day’, a unique ice show where opera, pop music, figure skang and fashion all merged to create a spectacular show, in the stunning seng of the Arena di Verona.

Towards the end of 2016, Kim was Performance Director on the BBC1 Saturday night entertainment show ‘Let It Shine’.

In 2017, Kim was Show Producer for Take That’s first ever ‘in-the-round’ tour. Kim conceived and designed this show alongside Take That, and the tour received rave reviews such as ‘bonkers but beauful’ (Birmingham Mail), ‘flaming carnival of pop’ (The Guardian) and ‘something to behold’ (Telegraph).

Kim was director of The Band musical that made its worldwide debut in September 2017. This show broke box office records as the fastest selling UK theatre tour ever, and connues to wow audiences throughout the UK in 2019.

November 2018, marked the opening of the Holiday on Ice 75th Anniver- sary show, directed by Kim. This breathtaking show is set to tour Europe unl 2020.

This year also sees Kim back working alongside Take That as their arsc director on the Take That Odyssey tour, a UK and European tour of their greatest hits.

The last twelve months Kim has been working on a shows for the Sphere in Las Vegas and for Universal Creave in Florida . The opening of the show in Florida is in the autumn of 2023.
