CALABARZON Calibrated Tourism Circuit Validation

RATIONALE OF THE PROJECT

The Department of Tourism Region IV-A will conduct an assessment and calibration of tour packages for the prioritization of the identified Tourism Circuit Cluster of three (3) Provinces of , and . Green corridors play an important role in maintaining regional biodiversity, improving environmental quality, offering economic resilience opportunity as well as protecting heritage and culture in the new normal.

PRIORITY TOURISM CIRCUITS The respective provinces prioritized the respective tourism circuits that will be featured for The Green Corridor Initiative:

Cavite Province: Metro Tourism Circuit (Tagaytay City, , Silang and Alfonso) Laguna Province: Buhay Laguna Tourism Circuit (San Pablo City, , and ) Batangas Province: Bayside Tourism Circuit (, , Taal and San Juan)

VALIDATION OF PRIORITY TOURISM CIRCUITS The validation process of the Tourism Circuits will include different activities in various destinations in the region. The participants will be able to experience the distinct adventures in CALABARZON such as: visiting various attractions and destinations, inspection of the implementation of Health and Safety Protocols, and assessment for contemporary and timely marketing strategy.

SUPPORT AND PARTICIPATION OF THE STAKEHOLDERS The tourism industry stakeholders that will be invited are representatives from the DOT-accredited Travel Agencies, Media Personnel,f Provincial Tourism Officer, Municipal/City Tourism Officers, Domestic Tourism Product and Market Development Task Force headed by Atty. Guiller Asido, in partnership with the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) and Department of Health Region IV-A.

DOT DOMESTIC PROMOTION

The DOT initiative to develop tourism products to support Domestic Tourism is the key components of the Tourism Recovery and Response Plan (TRRP). The program will streamline development efforts in close coordination with the local government units for the re-opening of tourism destinations and attractions, to ensure that the public minimum health and safety protocols are proper implemented to mitigate the speared of COVID-19.
