President’s Message Dear Members, Blankets of fresh snow and plummeting temperatures remind us that winter is in full swing across Alaska. The cold season offers us an opportunity to slow down, make some headway on projects, and of course, catch up with friends and colleagues at the Annual Meeting of the Alaska Anthropological Association. This year the 47th Annual Meeting will be held at the Westmark Hotel and Conference Center in Fairbanks from February 26-29, 2020. The conference kicks off on Wednesday night at VENUE, amodern art gallery, event space, and coffee bar. On Thursday morning, I hope you join us for an important workshop organized by the AkAA Board to discuss the Alaska Anthropological Association Anti-Harassment Policy and participate in an educational training opportunity held in partnership with STAR (Standing Together Against Rape).
