Road To Recovery Box Car Activity

Participate in the Road To Recovery Box Car Lap!

The Road To Recovery Garage will open at 7 PM. Supplies will be available to build your car, but please feel free to bring your own to make it extra special! You can also build your entire box car ahead of time and bring it to Relay For Life. Road To Recovery Lap will take place at 11:30 PM. Judges will be looking at the box cars as they travel around the track. They will choose a winner based on execution and creativity. Winner will be announced later in the evening. Every day thousands of patients need a ride to treatment, but some may not have a way to get there. The American Cancer Society Road To Recovery program provides transportation to and from treat- ment for people with cancer who do not have a ride or are unable to drive themselves. Participate in the Bra / Bikini Lap!

The Decorating Station will open at 7 PM. Supplies will be available to decorate your bra or bikini . You can also decorate your bra or bikini top ahead of time and bring it to Relay For Life. The Bra / Bikini Lap will take place at 4 AM. Judges will be looking at the and as they make their way around the track. Please wear your bra or bikini on the outside of your tee or tank top! Winner will be cho- sen based on execution and creativity. Winner will be announced immediately following the lap. Our Reach To Recovery volunteers are specially trained to help people through their experience by offering a measure of comfort and an opportunity for emotional grounding and informed decision making. As can- cer survivors, our volunteers give patients and family members an opportunity to express feelings, talk about fears and concerns, and ask questions of someone who has been there. Most importantly, Reach To Recovery volunteers offer understanding, support, and hope because they themselves have survived and gone on to live productive lives.
