Marco Simard COURSE INFORMATION Course location Courses are held at our new training centre located at: 26 Paul-Gauguin St., Candiac (Quebec) J5R 0G7 (See page 2 for driving directions). Course schedule Courses start at 8 a.m. and end at 4 p.m. It is important that participants arrive on time. Our doors open at 7:30 a.m. Parking Free parking is available in front of the centre. Students’ dress code • Comfortable clothing for climbing (jeans, jogging pants, etc.). However, shorts are not permitted. • A pair of leather gloves. • Steel-toed boots or working shoes. Open-end shoes are not allowed inside the training area. Nouvelle Hauteur provides all the specific equipment for working at heights, including 3-point suspension hard hat. • Please note that video cameras, cameras, tape recorders and telephones are not authorized during training. On the South Shore approaches, Sir Wilfrid Laurier Boulevard and the Highway 132 exit are the only roadways that carry traffic to the bridge. Presently during the morning peak period (7:00-9:30 a.m.), the approaches are working at capacity or overcapacity. Consequently, the local adjacent streets are under heavy traffic loads which cause air and noise pollution. The citizens in this region of St. Lambert have been complaining to their local political representatives. Moreover, the daily users that rely on this connection to Montreal have been demanding better service in recent years. In many U.S. cities, high-occupancy vehicle lanes have been implemented with much success. -

Annual Report 2017 / 2018 a mission to serve more people Our Annual Report 2017 2018 values Renaissance was built, operates and develops on a foundation of core values which are people centered. These values were elaborated and defined by a consultation process within the organization. They are therefore the expression of all the voices of Renaissance and are shared by all our employees who live them with conviction everyday. 2 SOLIDARITY INNOVATION RESPECT LOYALTY RECOGNITION LEADERSHIP A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT AND THE CEO From the beginning of Renaissance, the annual review of the progress during the previous year has always left us a bit surprised. This year, is no different than those before and has been in fact, one of the most remarkable in the development of the organization. Renaissance added to its programs over the year and is now offering seventeen job training programs, three Employment Resource Centres and two adapted training programs. This means that our services can reach more people, including even people who support us with their donations and shop in our stores. In 2017-2018 our placement rate was 84.28%, meaning 213 people found work or returned to school. It is a real accomplishment for our socioprofessional services as well as the work sites which host the programs, for this requires solid and efficient operational organization. The inaugurations of three new Fripe-Prix stores (including the first one on the South Shore), three Bookstores, as well as two Donation Centres were also indicators of success this year. The expansion has already produced results as we saw a 22% increase in donations and sales were up by 16% compared to last year. -

PURPOSE AND DEFINITION OF THE EDUCATIONAL PROJECT The educational project is a strategic tool through which an educational institution can define and communicate to the educational community the policy orientations, the action priorities, and the expected results to ensure the educational success for all students, in both the youth and adult sectors. It reflects the characteristics and needs of the students who attend the educational institution and the expectations expressed in the community in terms of education. Resulting from a consensus, the educational project is prepared and implemented through the collaborative efforts of various stakeholders concerned with the institution: students, parents, teachers and other staff members (daycare service, secretary, etc.), as well as the community and school board representatives. The educational project therefore forms part of a process designed to promote coordinated action and synergy among the various levels of the education system (MEES, school boards and educational institutions), with due regard for their specific areas of autonomy and characteristics.
