The Government is closely monitoring the situation and taking appropriate action viz. dealing with inter-state issues, creating new irrigation facilities at feasible locations, modernizing, improving and rehabilitating the existing irrigation infrastructure and restoring the capacity of the existing water bodies by desilting and evicting the encroachments. In addition, various periodic multidisciplinary studies are being conducted on ground water by maintaining and observing State-wide monitoring network of ground water, surface water and water quality, micro level ground water potential assessment and categorisation of Revenue Firkas. 2.0.
