By Carl Remeasky Editorial Editor He isn't a fabrication of someone's mind, or someone's idea of a joke, or even a pen name. Douglas R. Keith is alive and living in Perry. Ohio. Keith. 28. said he is a teacher and is also employed in private industry, but his real claims to fame are his political activities. Keith is a fervent anti-communist, and spends much of his time trying to alert Americans to what he feels is the very real threat of communism Keith communicates his views through radio, television and newspapers, which is the medium he uses the most Many of Keiths letters have appeared in The BG News KEITH SAID he has been the Ohio Coordinator of the National Student Coordinating Committee for Freedom in Vietnam and Southeast Asia since 1973. Keith said his position includes coordinating activities between 40 "choice organizations" within the state It is through this position that Keith gets some financial help to support his correspondence projects, which include writing to newspapers, radio stations and television stations. He also sends books and other printed material contributed by organizations such as the John Birch Society. "But a lot of it comes out of my own pocket." he added Keith said he has written to at least 750 newspapers. "I generally concentrate on papers that I have clippings from or papers that have circulations of over 100.000." Keith explained. He said he avoids certain papers like The New York Times or The Washington Post, but he "might motivate other people to write to them." HE SAID HE wanted to direct more of his efforts toward radio and television.
