Currently one of the serious issues of environmental pollution is noise especially in urban areas. Noise pollution is defined as “unwanted sound that unreasonably enters into our daily activities. Transport noise is an increasingly prominent feature of the urban environment making noise pollution an important public health issue. Road traffic is a key source of noise in big metro cities like Chennai. The present study is conducted to know levels of noise pollution at Madhya kailash junction, Chennai.
