This shaded, quiet area has a campground located on the Clark Fork River in the rugged and beautiful Clark Fork Valley. CAMPGROUND LOCATIONS: 1. Thompson Falls State Park Campground Why We Love This Campground: Enjoy the park’s improved family fishing pond, with new features including an accessible fishing pier, new picnic shelter, latrine and improved parking. Explore the recently expanded non- motorized Thompson Falls Trail which runs along the Clark Fork River and connects to the HWY 200 trail into town. Logan State Park Campground Why We Love This Campground: Logan State Park is located in northwest Montana. With frontage on the north shore of Middle Thompson Lake, Logan is heavily forested with western larch, Douglas-fir, and ponderosa pine. Big Arm/Flathead Lake State Park Campground Why We Love This Campground: Big Arm is located on Flathead Lake, the largest natural freshwater lake in the western United States. Finley Point/Flathead Lake State Park Campground Why We Love This Campground: Make Finley Point at Flathead Lake State Park, located at the southern end of Flathead Lake, your base camp to enjoy the many activities in the area. Fishing for Lake Trout and Lake Superior Whitefish is excellent. There's camping, hiking, swimming, and boating at the state park, along with golf, shopping, dining, entertainment and museums in nearby Polson. Wayfarers/Flathead Lake State Park Campground Why We Love This Campground: Located near the quaint resort town of Bigfork on the northeast shore of Flathead Lake, this park is 67 acres in size and is 2,923 feet in elevation. A mature mixed forest makes this site very pleasant for camping and picnicking. From spring to late fall the area abounds in wildflowers. Painted Rocks State Park Campground Why We Love This Campground: Located in the West Fork Valley of the Bitterroot Mountains, Painted Rocks Reservoir offers boating, camping, and fishing in a scenic, western pine-forest setting. Painted Rocks received its name from the green, yellow and orange lichens which cover the grey and black rock walls of the granite and rhyolite cliffs along the West Fork Road. Lost Creek State Park Campground Why We Love This Campground: Spectacular grey limestone cliffs and pink and white granite formations rise 1,200 feet above the canyon's narrow floor. Lost Creek Falls, in the northwest corner of the park, cascades over a 50-foot drop to provide one of the most scenic and popular spots in the park. Wildlife, especially mountain goats, golden eagles and bighorn sheep are frequently seen on the cliffs above, and pika are often seen and heard in the rock piles in the upper park. Bannack State Park Campground Why We Love This Campground: Bannack State Park is a National Historic Landmark and the site of Montana's first major gold discovery on July 28, 1862. This strike set off a massive gold rush that swelled Bannack's population to over 3,000 by 1863. As the value of gold steadily dwindled, Bannack's bustling population was slowly lost. Over 50 buildings line Main Street; their historic log and frame structures recall Montana's formative years. Biographical History Harold Atwood Widdison was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on September 10, 1935 to Harold Edward and Margaret Lavona (née Atwood) Widdison. His only sibling, sister Joan Lavona, was born in 1940. The family moved to Helena, Montana when Widdison was 12, where he graduated from high school in 1953. He then served a two year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In 1956 Widdison entered Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, graduating with a BS in sociology in 1959 and an MS in business in 1961. He was employed by the Atomic Energy Commission in Washington DC before returning to graduate school, earning his PhD in medical sociology and statistics from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio in 1970. Dr. Widdison was a faculty member in the Sociology Department at Northern Arizona University from 1972 until his retirement in 2003. His research foci included research methods, medical sociology, complex organization, and death and dying. His interest in the latter led him to develop one of the first courses on death, grief, and bereavement, and helped establish such courses in the field on a national scale.

The committee discussed their desire to design an executive action schedule that would allow all members to be present for the vote, and negate the need for the proxy vote. CHAIRMAN BERGSAGEL said he will accommodate everyone's conflicting schedules to the best of his ability when drawing up the schedule.
