Innsbruck, Mauthausen, DAY 2: TUESDAY, MAY 28 BAD KOHLGRUB (D) Baden bie Wien, & Vienna ENTRANCES/EXCURSIONS Arrive in Germany, where your full-time bilingual tour manager will welcome PRIVATE MOTOR-COACH you at the airport. Exploration begins as you join a local guide for a walking tour through ’s city center, to see the Marienplatz, Old Town Hall, and MEALS: famous Glockenspiel. Travel through Bavaria, en-route to Bad Kohlgrub. Along daily breakfast (7), lunch (1) the way there is a stop for lunch. This afternoon, enjoy an alpine slide adventure and dinner (7) with an ascent by chair lift and a summer toboggan run with 41 s-turns and 17 steep curves at the Blombergbahn. Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, provided each day of your trip. Sightseeing continues, as you transfer to King Ludwig II’s spectacular Neuschwanstein for a $3969 tour with audio guide. After your visit there is time for a leisurely descent, with Minimum of 45 participants magical views from Mary’s Bridge. In creating his fairytale castle, Ludwig was inspired by the operas of his friend, composer Richard Wagner; much later, Disney found inspiration for his own Sleeping Beauty castle. There is time for additional exploration, including a walking tour of Fussen with local guide and dinner. Present your debut concert in the area this evening!

DAY 4: THURSDAY, MAY 30 INNSBRUCK (B/D)

Your journey continues as you cross the border to Austria, and the lovely capital of the state of Tyrol. A local guide will join you for a walking tour, to see both its Imperial and modern architecture. Begin your stroll on Herzog Friedrich Street, the ideal starting point. Admire the city’s famous shining landmark, the Golden Roof, and its colorful adornments. Towering above, you’ll see the magnificent Nordkette mountain range and stunningly photogenic peaks. This evening enjoy an authentic Tyrolean evening of music, dancing, and dinner—the perfect greeting!

DAY 5: FRIDAY, MAY 31 INNSBRUCK (B/D)

This morning visit the mountains of Nordkette with a local guide, including cable car round-trip from Innsbruck to Hafelekar. Watch the ground drop away as you travel to the 1905-meter high Seegrube, and enjoy a bird’s-eye view of Europe’s steepest ski slope, spot climbers on the rocky face of the Karwendel, and wonder at the breathtaking panoramic views. Further up, you’ll reach the 2256-meter high Hafelekar. The adjacent park features more than 3000 species of wildlife. Explore with your guide, before returning to Innsbruck. Prepare for your evening concert in the area! The night ends with dinner at a local restaurant.

DAY 6: SATURDAY, JUNE 1 BADEN BIE WIEN (B/L/D)

Your journey through Austria continues as you traverse the country. Lunch is included today, along the storied Danube River. This afternoon join local guides for a somber visit of the Mauthausen Memorial, together with a workshop to help better understand. By the summer of 1940, this had become one of the largest labour camp complexes in German-controlled Europe. The camps were one of the first massive complexes of Nazi Germany, and were the last ones to be liberated by the Allies. Continue to the spa village of Baden Bie Wien, on the outskirts of Vienna. An Austrian dinner is included at a local restaurant this evening.

DAY 7: SUNDAY, JUNE 2 BADEN BIE WIEN (B/D)

Delight in this morning’s walking tour of Baden bie Wien with a local guide. Amongst the narrow streets surrounding the main square you’ll find 19th century Biedermeier architecture, and in the center of the town the Trinity Column plague memorial. Within the green Kurpark you’ll find memorials to composers like Beethoven and Mozart and the Undine Fountain. Included is entrance to the Beethovenhaus Baden. Continue to the town of Eisenstadt, for a guided tour of Esterhazy Palace and its beautiful Haydnsaal and gardens. Joseph Haydn lived and worked here as Prince Esterhazy’s Kapellmeister (Music Director) for over 40 years. Prepare for your evening concert in nearby Loretto! Enjoy dinner together after your event.

DAY 8: MONDAY, JUNE 3 BADEN BIE WIEN (B/D)

Enjoy sightseeing of Vienna with a local guide today. Begin with a panoramic drive along the magnificent Ringstrasse, before entering the historic center of the city. Your walking tour includes the highlight of Stephansdom, which held Mozart’s funeral in 1791. Subject to approval, here at St. Stephen’s Cathedral, the ensembles will participate in the noon mass, followed by a short sacred concert! There is free time for lunch and souvenir shopping. Stroll through Zentralfriedhof, one of the largest cemeteries in the world, to visit the final resting place of composers such as Beethoven, Brahms, Schubert, and Strauss. A celebratory dinner is served this evening at a local restaurant, and afterward visit the Haus der Musik, an interactive museum dedicated to sound and music where its virtual technology allows visitors to conduct the fabled Vienna Philharmonic inside Musikverein’s golden concert hall.

DAY 9: TUESDAY, JUNE 4 DEPARTURE (B)

Enjoy a final breakfast before transferring to the airport for your return flights home. Your tour manager will assist with airport check-in, and there is time for one last Auf Wiedersehen!
