Stagger Lanayru79 01/08/2016 5:43 PM

Part nine of my jabbering during this initial 100% playthrough in a loose journal form will be all about Missions available following the finale of the main story. I think I've hit a pretty strong total survey number w/ Chapter 12 freshly completed. There are sure to be spoilers, which I'll mark in the comments.

Stagger 01/08/2016 8:16 PM ·Spoilers That was quite a round-up. I've balanced Affinity gains so well that four party members hit 5hearts just gathering the Normal Missionsfrom NLA and other settled areas. Plenty of Chart Link changes, talking to every single named NPC ... anyway, I knocked off three quick human cocerns. Hugo had two more Battle Probe gigs, just donate Miranium, and Tobias and Kirsty had to collaborate to conclude(?)

E Yeah! e 0 D

Stagger 01/08/2016 8:39 PM ·Spoilers the Pioneer series at last. I think anyway, need some follow-up dialogue to be sure ... interstellar FrontierNav. Good luck w/ that.

Every other Normal Mission is for Xenoforms thus far, which I approve of. This first one I'll tackle is quite peculiar. A representative for NLA's non- human residents is being elected, and a pizza economy and tax platform does not sit well w/ the other groups. E Yeah! e 0 D

Stagger 01/08/2016 8:48 PM ·Spoilers So the Orphean head honcho has somehow convinced me to drug the aspiring Ma-non leader (hierarchy is a concept new to each of them btw) w/ a substance that will make him agree to any question posed.

Concurrently, I'll advance this forging of an unbreakable blade for a fiery Wrothian smithy. He accosted a Ma-non who's been in hiding for half the game to learn an ore smelting secret.

E Yeah! e 0 D

Stagger 01/08/2016 8:59 PM ·Spoilers Ha! The great smithy takes the sword into the field and gets it swallowed by a Millepod! Majestic creatures - the only others of these massive extended Leviath style brutes I've seen are above level 90. I'll hew this junior version down w/ a lone Skell. E Yeah! e 0 D

Stagger 01/08/2016 9:46 PM ·Spoilers Huh, it will take a second Skell. I get really close, but between massive scattershot and whirling tornado attacks, Millepods have colossal damage output.

Meanwhile, Adappin's Ma-non pizza ritual was clearly the morning option of the three choices to administer the drug. Trying to reason w/ him first definitely assuaged my concerns over the choice, and the results have been hysterical.

E Yeah! e 0 D

Stagger 01/08/2016 9:55 PM ·Spoilers The Ma-non's constant questioning in their manner of speaking led to a funny speech. Then the Nopon above was the Sun'Barac's chosen candidate, but his platform was complete exploitation for the furballs. An Info search revealed the Orphean himself had the support to win election. Great choice.

Lin is in for the Millepod, nice post-game Affinity Link change for Tatsu and his rival here ...

E Yeah! e 1 D

Stagger 01/08/2016 10:37 PM ·Spoilers I'll save the more complicated, travel oriented work for tomorrow. I need to track down Kirsty and Hugo, but otherwise follow-up chats are completed. Oh - I chose not to accept the Unbreakable Sword as payment, and rather to let the smithy keep it and learn to wield it. Seemed ike the right thing to do ...

E Yeah♥ e 0 D

Stagger 01/09/2016 9:46 AM ·Spoilers De Eizich's Mission is first on the docket, because despite having a question mark icon hovering over his head prior to Chapter 12, he maintained normal dialogue instead of offering this task. We fought his father in his stead. He wants to opt out of the Wrothian way. Some of these requests are not things I'm a fan of doing. Fight your own battles, punk. E Yeah! e 0 D

Stagger 01/09/2016 10:17 AM ·Spoilers That had a satisfactory conclusion. Beat up both parents, then rough the son up too. Ha! Glad I didn't opt out and leave him to his mother ...

Erio resurfaced, and one of her Definian sisters has been employed by Fortun to set the keeper of the universe's knowledge free. She's had her posing as a weapons buying representative, stockpiling for a counter strike.

E Yeah! e 0 D

Stagger 01/09/2016 10:44 AM ·Spoilers Somehow, there was an option for meeting Lyvia (aka Avi) first and taking a Mission from her instead. I found her after thwarting Fortun, but haven't yet seen Mother and Erio ...

That Harrier team! I finally found them. If the rewards are any indication, this Missin has been available for a long time. Iwas just checking hexagons that has Mission completion icons remaining in Sylvalum en route to

E Yeah! e 0 D

Stagger 01/09/2016 11:34 AM ·Spoilers tracking down the illustrious Professor B. *have*

Boy, that was grim. I wonder what the maximum survival rate is for the four named NPCs involved in that one? Yeesh. I'll take two.

Fortun is installed on top of BLADE Tower. That's a humorous punishment. Anyway, we'll see where the great time traveler is off to now.

E Yeah! e 0 D

Nintendoer 01/09/2016 11:56 AM Ah, so you're done with the main story. Congrats! I'll sit in for this one...although considering I won't open any comments marked as spoilers, I'm not sure how much I'll actually read right now.

E Yeah! e 0 D

Stagger 01/09/2016 12:05 PM They'll all be marked w/ spoilers, ha! Thanks though comrade.

E Yeah! e 0 D

Stagger 01/09/2016 12:07 PM ·Spoilers Ah, a somewhat tidy ending to Professor B's saga, except for the mystery of Mira keeping him from returning to his own time part. Graham goes to work for him w/ a mountain of debt the Professor has caused, Gadd gets his final comeuppance, and those locked doors in the secluded Lava Lake are open.

This is interesting. A Zaruboggan heretic refused to join his species in NLA, and holds some artifact

E Yeah! e 0 D

Stagger 01/09/2016 12:20 PM ·Spoilers from a temple on their homeworld of Bedun that is crucial to Feloran's quest to prove the existence of Golboga.

Kiliran! I've been looking for him, the Zaruboggan mapping Mira's voltant. Like that Ma-non maestro of metal, he was Mission-locked, as I've been in this spot often trying to figure out if I can best Trueno, the Cataclysm, and access the transporter under the towering Filiavent.

E Yeah! e 0 D

Nintendoer 01/09/2016 12:21 PM Every single one? Oh, well, I'll end up reading this eventually.

E Yeah♥ e 0 D

Matthew 01/09/2016 12:28 PM I'm in the same boat as ND. I'm still not ready to take on chapter 9, so if all the comments are marked spoilers I won't see much, at least for now. I'll comeback and read all these later, though.

E Yeah! e 0 D

Stagger 01/09/2016 12:32 PM ·Spoilers Too kind bros ... you wouldn't want to know that Golbogga's image is in the mold of humans, or rather Samaarians, who engineered the Zaruboggan species to survive an environment they'd ruined! Ah, Feloran, I took a chance w/ your precious relic, and a biologist has been converted to your faith. E Yeah!? e 0 D

Stagger 01/09/2016 12:45 PM ·Spoilers Tracking down the two new Zaruboggan for a post-op could be tough ... Feloran was pleased despite me going off the Mission script there.

Ah, Murderess restores the Effinger House, continuing her riches to rags and back to riches tale. I'm down to just three characters short of the 5heart Affinity mark. Time for lunch ...

E Yeah! e 0 D

Stagger 01/09/2016 3:28 PM ·Spoilers I completed Snipe Hunt, but it was pretty boring. Just off a Galdr that had been targeting Ma-non on their ship at range ... this appears to be the culmination of The Duel series of Missions. My Wrothian friend has been beating up random sparring partners who aren't actually trying to train w/ him. E Yeah! e 0 D

Stagger 01/09/2016 4:07 PM ·Spoilers His ultimate technique was splitting into three versions of himself ... which was still not a fair fight. The Prone apocalypse aversion was next, which was the biggest enemy horde of the game, but I just bulled through. Ma- non Ship first to 100%! Total survey over 95%, just Lucielle left in Primordia ...

Yup, coming to the end of the road. Mia wants to reminisce for the first Affinity Mission of

E Yeah♥ e 0 D

Stagger 01/09/2016 4:18 PM ·Spoilers this last post-Chapter round. Oddly, this was tied to a Basic Mission. I do still have a Normal and exploration for more to conduct, but I'm holding off on it until I get the core group together.

This work on Tora's behalf will parallel Mia's relationship w/ her own parents. He craves entry to the Nopon Commerce Guild to prove his worth to them, much as Mia was motivated to explore in tribute.

E Yeah! e 0 D

Stagger 01/09/2016 5:00 PM ·Spoilers Mia's my two dads tale is enough happy go lucky drivel for me. I'm also pretty certain I just lost a shot at a Mission exclusive level 60 Colubrim for the Enemy Index. I'm pretty displeased about it, but not willing to replay the last couple hours because I only had one Skell in the party and chose not to engage Dadato's kidnapper. So rather than tackle L's final Affinity Mission, I'm in the mood

E Yeah! e 0 D

Stagger 01/09/2016 5:19 PM ·Spoilers for some more serious fare.

Murderess stands accused of - what else? - murder. Irina intervenes, overcoming her hatred of her rival to defend her, and winds up as collateral. She's being held while we investigate. The male BLADEs have all been shot between the eyes and in the thigh, while the women in the temple and foot. Must have been how Murderess' parents were killed ...

E Yeah! e 0 D

Stagger 01/09/2016 5:34 PM ·Spoilers She doesn't execute this guy, whose Interfearance Skell came in at level 57 btw. The Effinger heiress will leave him in Sylvalum to die alone. Murderess is a pretty great character.

E Yeah♥ e 0 D

Stagger 01/09/2016 5:53 PM ·Spoilers Commercial District, 100% surveyed ... now it's more from Tora, as he tried L's shop for some secret ancient Nopon remedy. This ought to be interesting. I forgot to find that option to toggle Elma's appearance.

E Yeah! e 0 D

Stagger 01/09/2016 6:26 PM ·Spoilers I really hope the Ruler of Fates is a different Telethia than the Endbringer. *gulp* I'm not working on building Ares Skells yet heh ... but Tora's remedy requires something from this brute, so let's see what's in store.

E Yeah!? e 0 D

Stagger 01/09/2016 6:43 PM ·Spoilers Ah, it was a test of courage. Simply attacking the Endbriger earned its respect. Tora of course had a selfish digestive problem that we went to all kinds of trouble for. :/ I'm not sure what triggered this opening, but it's likely that The Nopon Heir did. The new, red, female Orphean betaforms are rebelling against the Ovah, and we've been tasked w/ their safe recovery.

E Yeah! e 0 D

Stagger 01/09/2016 7:07 PM ·Spoilers There's a good chance I actually have to win this time. It wold be ridiculous to trap a player into an Affinity Mission w/ the highest level Tyrant in the game, but to deny completion of a Normal? Especially considering the Segment Recon for the Telethia stipulates defeating it during a Mission doesn't count? Heh, I'll find out momentarily, but I'm guessing this one will linger for a bit.

E Yeah... e 0 D

Stagger 01/09/2016 7:17 PM ·Spoilers Harsh! It's a Fateful Choice alright. I can abandon the last survivor of the four Betaforms and just talk to the giver of the task, or defeat the mighty Tyrant. I'll do a Save and quit check on the easy path when I'm done for the night, but I intend to do it the hard way.

For now though, a couple other tasks are at hand. I mentioned a Normal I was waiting on: defeating the Divine Nopopon.

E Yeah! e 0 D

Stagger 01/09/2016 7:20 PM ·Spoilers Ahem, its Incarnation at least. The actual being offers a further trial! Great stuff, let's see where this goes ...

E Yeah! e 0 D

Stagger 01/09/2016 7:32 PM ·Spoilers Oh this is phenomenal! Three other great Nopon beings must be challenged to complete the trial. It's a great post-game Mission. Have you visited all of the nooks and crannies of Mira to get to them? Nice ... and here I thought Shinshin was just full of beans all game.

E Yeah! e 0 D

Stagger 01/09/2016 8:03 PM ·Spoilers Ah, classic! I saved screens of the Incarnate forms of the other three Divine Nopofolk, who all had rude thoughts to share about this guy. One of them fell in love w/ the avatar character. Of course it's not a revelation on the Nopon origin on Mira. It's a list of platitudes about cuteness and other important Nopon concerns. Fantastic!

E Yeah! e 0 D

Stagger 01/09/2016 8:16 PM ·Spoilers Definitely the cream of the crop of post-game Normal Missions so far, these three I've most recently detailed including The Gauntlet. (I'm basically just checking the rare empty hexagons in NLA at this point, but I've known this would open and have been eagerly awaiting it.) It seems a hit parade of friends will be the test in this Wrothian contest of might.

E Yeah♥ e 0 D

Stagger 01/09/2016 8:40 PM ·Spoilers So it was locked by concluding The Duel Mission sequence, and the host broke out a level 90 Skell in the finale! It had no defenses for some reason. Could be my Skill set-up is still for Blood Despair and my first strike in my Excavator is just devastating, heh ... super weapons. Anyway, I'm probably at a god stopping point for tonight. I know of three Affinity Missions left to work on tomorrow.

E Yeah! e 0 D

Stagger 01/09/2016 8:43 PM Out of comments for the day anyway, so tomorrow I'll set about moving towards 100% total survey w/ the last of the Affinity Missions for the core group. I will have to start working on Ares Skell assembly after those though, as I'm not ready to work out on-foot builds for the Tyrants holding the keys to my final Segment Recons. E Yeah! e 0 D

Stagger 01/10/2016 10:46 AM ·Spoilers Two quick notes: the Nopopon showed up in NLA for an Affinity Shift. Sweet. Also, the Ovah Overthrow can be completed w/out fighting the Telethia. It would finish theCommercial District for me too. I've had two Missions cut short so far: Odsent and His Prone training still bugs me. The Ma-non mechanics in the Hangar is the other I botched a bit, telling the little guy to do his own work.

E Yeah! e 0 D

Stagger 01/10/2016 10:49 AM ·Spoilers Anyway, resisting that temptation won't be that rough. Who doesn't want to beat the game's highest level creature twice? Today I'll start by getting to the three remaining Affinity Mission icons that are active. Two appeared in the Barracks after Chapter 12. This rescue of Wrothian royalty in Cauldros is unique, as it is initiated outside NLA. The Ganglion replicas of their Skells are an insult. E Yeah! e 0 D

Stagger 01/10/2016 11:08 AM ·Spoilers That was light work. Lin's 4heart action appears to be a task that must be kept secret from Tatsu. Will she finally cook him for Vandham?

E Yeah♥ e 0 D

Stagger 01/10/2016 11:19 AM ·Spoilers Ah, this is cracking me up! The three conversations w/ Nopons gathering recipes were funny enough, between dumpster diving Pirapira, Ngogo's royal intricacies necessary to please lecherous Nan, and Warawara's gripping backstory on her parents' engagement. Tatsu overheard Linly, and is certain he's the main course! There was an amazing image of him hit w/ a lightning bolt that I missed. E Yeah! e 0 D

Stagger 01/10/2016 11:29 AM ·Spoilers Fantastic! I had a feeling this would be the lighthearted one of the three, so I sandwiched it, no pun intended. Tatsu fled to Cauldros, but I pity the Tersqual that swallowed him while he was bemoaning how he is the most delicious thing in existence. Lin smacked it silly. Warm moment ...

Lionhearted unlocked a Normal Mission near the Mimeosome Maintenance Center that I'll attend to next.

E Yeah! e 0 D

Stagger 01/10/2016 11:38 AM ·Spoilers The comedy keeps coming. Ni Zain was the wounded Wrothian who opened up the Affinity Mission involving Ga Jiarg and Ga Buide's replica Caladar extermination. Pride was a theme, as it became a competition, and so too was it a quality of the Prince's vassal. He escaped the treatment of his wounds ... to learn how to make cake? This should 100% the Administrative District btw.

E Yeah! e 0 D

Stagger 01/10/2016 12:38 PM ·Spoilers The obnoxious three area Info search aside, it was fun creating a Wrothian curry chef. Err, sheff. Elma's Affinity Mission appears to be the last of its kind. I'm sad to see them go, but I'm ready to be done at the same time. It begins w/ a simple request: a nice view of NLA at sunset.

E Yeah! e 0 D

Stagger 01/10/2016 12:47 PM ·Spoilers We took revenge on the level 60 Demise Ictus that killed two of Elma's team members in that spot on Fallshorn Isle the day the White Whale landed befire a distress call came in from Oblivia. More new named NPCs to save, eh? E Yeah! e 0 D

Stagger 01/10/2016 1:04 PM ·Spoilers That was a nice pat on the back concluding type of Mission. Lin got asked for an autograph after I improbably managed to defeat two level 80 Gleaming Sphinxes in a sandstorm. That sort of thing ...

I have two Mission icons left for Segment Recons. One involves me stubbornly taking the route tyat requires defeating the Telthia. The other is here. I feel like this random Stray Potamus is the key.

E Yeah! e 0 D

Stagger 01/10/2016 1:17 PM ·Spoilers Yup! It was the only out of place thing in the Zu Pharg wreckage hexagon. It dropped a Sapphire Ring of some kind, key item ... and after some thought, these two traveling merchants at the Cleansing Spring Caravan had never had any meaningful resolution to their disagreement over a dress purchase. It made sense ... the final Mission! Well, I have two I can't resolve yet, but ...

E Yeah! e 0 D

Stagger 01/10/2016 1:37 PM Ah, money can't buy you love. That's that! Except for taking the easy way out of my final Normal Mission, which I'm refusing to do despite it completing the Residential District, I'm down to just a handful of Tyrants to hit 100% total survey. I'm going to take a lengthy break, then set about the business of building some ridiculous Skells for that purpose.

E Yeah! e 1 D

Amazonpech 01/10/2016 2:54 PM In just 15 minutes or more, you could have saved on Skell insurance by switching to Geico! Though real talk, I'm having my head blown clean off my shoulder blades by your 100% completion to this game so soon. How many hours spent so far? I take it those lobsters & tyrants were giving you pains in the ash, huh?

E Yeah♥ e 1 D

Stagger 01/10/2016 10:52 PM My first beautiful post-game baby is complete ... except for making a slew of custom weapons for it of course. :p Now to decide what to choose for the other three in the death squadron.

Just 360 hours in or so Peach, heh ... it's not only a snail's pace by comparison to the guide using masses (or beasts like Nintendoer), but Internet slaves know all these sick on-foot builds to destroy anything.

E Yeah! e 1 D

Stagger 01/10/2016 11:38 PM So I had to tear apart my entire Data Probe install for two continents to get my Miranium storage up over 100k, knocking my revenue and production in the process ... but I have 67 milkion credits or so. I'm assuming I'm going to want to put Combat Probes to use pretty soon anyway.

That's all for me tonight. In my zeal to assemble the parts, I missed the Telethia Nemesis ending. :/

E Yeah... e 1 D

Matthew 01/11/2016 5:19 AM The Telethia Nemesis ending? Wait a second, is that the global nemesis mission? I didn't know it was missable, I was waiting until I was higher leveled to tackle it.

E Yeah! e 0 D

Stagger 01/11/2016 11:57 AM It comes back around Matthew. I contributed a lot though, and as the RP was dwindling last night, missed the chance to get the Achievement for dealing a final blow to a Nemesis. It's not as tough to get as you'd think, you just have to be around during the window between it hitting zero and assessment.

One Ares90 was enough to propel me past a nasty level 79 Xe-dom Tyrant and wrap up Cauldros.

E Yeah! e 0 D Matthew 01/11/2016 12:03 PM Oh, I understand now.

E Yeah! e 0 D

Stagger 01/11/2016 1:51 PM ·Spoilers The post-game Tyrant appearances in this game are very well done. Bits of named NPC dialogue, and in some cases just unnamed NPC info, lead to discoveries of some serious challenges!

I've decided to only build the lone Ares, as you are locked out of changing Gear on them. I'll move into crafting a set of the other beastly level 60 Skells, but I'm still knocking off a Segment Recon or two.

E Yeah! e 0 D

Stagger 01/11/2016 6:18 PM I don't think it's a spoiler that the Ares 90 can make a mockery of very difficult fights. The two encounters involving humongous Sabula Tyrants are on my list of the most iconic in the game, but one Agasura Cannon later and Squallo's reign of terror in Oblivia is basically over. I don't dare just build four of these. That would be boring. Certain other fights seem in reach w/ just one. E Yeah! e 0 D

Phanton J 01/11/2016 8:19 PM So did you do it?

E Yeah! e 0

Stagger 01/13/2016 6:33 PM Yeah Zachary, I two-hit KO'd poor Squallo. I completed Primordia earlier by simply abusing Lucielle. It wasn't entirely unsatisfying, because her damage output even to top of the line Skells is pretty intense.

E Yeah! e 0 D

Stagger 01/13/2016 6:39 PM If one was good, two is better right? I tested this fight briefly before I had a dinner engagement earlier. I think I can win, but I'm not certain. Atreides summons Gesserith when threatened, and his slightly stronger mate is the Segment Recon.

E Yeah! e 0 D

Zachary 01/23/2016 7:12 PM ·Spoilers I'm currently making my 1st level 60 skell (something zero I think) " I like a fast skell" I'm not really interested in the ares 70 or 90 I'm just doing some random missions just did one on a murder case "it was scary awesome" Im doing the merry me one next trying to track down the stuff needed (and making zero on the slide" these missions are getting interesting!

E Yeah! e 0 D
