I have no experience skipping XC Quests, Landmarks and UMs. The goal here is to finish at the lowest level I can. I'll update at major battles, with E Yeah! e 23 r 101 D Advertisement Share this Post 1 Tweet 2 Share Embed Comment AlienSquid 11/21/2015 5:17 PM I'm at the marsh on my first ever playthrough on wii. Loving it so far I don't think I'll make it through before Christmas tho E Yeah! e 1 Stagger 11/21/2015 5:19 PM exponentially less detail than I did during my 100% playthrough last spring. If you're on the edge of your seat for my thoughts on the minutiae of story and gameplay, both the best in the genre I've encountered, those are the posts to look back on. I know the public hungers for my gibberish. :p I'll be marking spoilers from beyond Xord in the comments here. Wish me luck! E Yeah♥ e 1 D Meagan 11/21/2015 5:32 PM I'll be looking forward to your progress. Xenoblade is one of my favorites! E Yeah! e 3 D Justin86 11/21/2015 5:46 PM Getting warmed up for Xenoblade Chronicles X? From what I've seen of gameplay footage, the world in that game may be about as vast as the one in this game, if not larger. E Yeah! e 3 D Stagger 11/21/2015 6:02 PM It's a magical experience Chris! The Wii version is preferable imo, not that this one isn't exquisite. Thanks for the follow! @Meagan: I appreciate the support! My longwinded work about this yarn was after release in the spring up through early summer. It's going to as hard not commenting on the tale (this sweeping introduction!) as it will be restraining my urge to explore this world fully a ... Ignoring Collectibles and Quests is already killing me. :p I'm only really commenting right now not to be rude to you kind folks. @Justin: XCX's world dwarfs this one by all accounts. :o @Johnny: If you like RPGs, especially if you're into them but have grown weary of turn-based combat w/ random encounters, and are prepared to give up at least 150 hours to do it right, XC is a must. E Yeah♥ e 1 D Nintendoer 11/21/2015 6:48 PM Notifications! I'm afraid I won't be playing this before XCX's release. I just don't have enough time, even for an any% run. E Yeah! e 0 D Stagger 11/21/2015 10:00 PM ·Spoilers Understandable comrade. Welcome aboard! I'm pretty sure I'll have the time, and this should be an exciting challenge for me. After the welcome interruption of our TFH session tonight, I had to eat, and won't get back to the innocuous errand in Tephra Cave until the morning. Unavoidable combat and actually opening chests awaits! E Yeah! e 2 D Frog 11/22/2015 9:21 AM How do you raise affinity between party members? It's certainly an investment of time. The impressive stuff is the completed Achievements list, all Level X Arts, and the max single playthrough Affinity Coins. This is humbling. I only had to fight one Iron Bunniv to reach this point, so w/ zero gear upgrades at Level 6 across the crew, we're getting trounced here. I'm close but it's rough! E Yeah! e 2 D Stagger 11/22/2015 5:32 PM Ha! Got there on that attempt, thanks mainly to a four link chain that came with an Achievement and a mid-battle level-up. :p I'll have to be much sharper for the ensuing rumble with this starter equipment ... no Fiora, your brother didn't remotely destroy them all a year ago. Oh the twisted metal to come ... E Yeah! e 0 D AlienSquid 11/22/2015 5:34 PM I'm inside the bionis right now on my playthrough and I'd also like to know how to raise affinity between characters. But instead of wasting your time that you need to spend working your way through the game I'll just look it up myself. E Yeah! e 0 Stagger 11/22/2015 5:39 PM Ah Chris, tap on that young Frog gentleman and see his first post from XC3d from 3 days ago for my answers. Alternatively, Nintendoer had an exceptionally thorough set of tips for players new to the game that he posted back after release. It was an awesome project! My Unique Monster index posts were my pride and joy then. (as for the LttP glitch, I abstain, but love comes in many forms right? :p) E Yeah! e 2 D Frog 11/22/2015 5:57 PM I've...kind of...buried that post... E Yeah! e 1 D Nintendoer 11/22/2015 6:07 PM 120 tips total, in fact. And for those interested in them, here's a link to the index post, so you can jump to any tip you may want to see from there. https://miiverse.nintendo.net/posts/AYMHAAACAAADVHj_vnH1wA You're already feeling the effects of being at a lower level it would seem. Keep it up! E Yeah! e 2 D Stagger 11/22/2015 6:24 PM Oh Frog, it's not that big of a scroll to get to your post in question ... @'doer: Yes! I'm way out of my depth and loving it. It took me a good twenty minutes to beat them, ha! Things are different now though. A level 20 left-hand sword wielding Dunban and a Monado give me some hope approaching this incredible bout w/ Metal Face. The opening to this game is basically perfect. E Yeah! e 1 D AlienSquid 11/22/2015 6:30 PM it was an easy post to find since its your favorite post. thanks for the info! E Yeah! e 0 Stagger 11/22/2015 6:33 PM Aw Frog, whether a kind gesture or just love of the game, either way I salute you. Most welcome Chris ... Psychotic antagonist? Check. Bonding and bravado? Check. Grand entrances? Must run in the family Fiora, because yours almost matcges Dunban's. Big check. Then there motivation to fight ... no problem there. Metal Face has a couple levels on my youngsters, but I've got full faith in my skills E Yeah♥ e 1 D Stagger 11/22/2015 6:37 PM to get this done w/out incident. Some better gear might be in order for starting the journey ahead following this dramatic moment. *there's* motivation, pardon ... I still get pretty emotional during this moment. I'll probably have to take a break afterwards. The soundtrack, the voice acting - storytelling on this level is so rare. Loss, vengeance, mystery, all effortlessly woven together ... E Yeah! e 1 D Stagger 11/22/2015 6:58 PM That was the walk in the park I remembered it to be (one chain attack capped by a double damage Steel Strike from Dunban), but I'm betting it's the last easy thing I'll get to do. I'm just dipping my toe in this weekend, and will get pretty serious about making progress throughout the week. Back to Hyrule I go ... E Yeah♥ e 1 D AlienSquid 11/22/2015 7:06 PM I wish I had more time to play xenoblade before Christmas when Ivan play X. For some reason I didn't like the game when I first played it two years ago. I started over and realized I didn't give it a fair chance. Love love love this game to death right now! E Yeah! e 1 AlienSquid 11/22/2015 7:07 PM I can* not Ivan E Yeah! e 0 Frog 11/22/2015 7:23 PM Actually, I made that post my favorite so my profile would show the title screen of the game I'm currently playing. However, in the Friends section of my 3DS, I did change my favorite title from SSB to XC. The music in this game is amazing. • Title Theme • You Will Know Our Names • Gaur Plain (both day & night) • Mechanical Rhythm (I heard it in the SSB) • other songs I can't remember the names of E Yeah! e 0 D Frog 11/22/2015 7:29 PM Even before I considered playing XC, "You Will Know Our Names" was the go-to hype song in SSB for my friends and I, although the reason for choosing that song was because one of my friends chose Shulk as his main. The reason for him choosing Shulk is another story entirely unrelated to XC.

  • The Life & Rhymes of Jay-Z, an Historical Biography
ABSTRACT Title of Dissertation: THE LIFE & RHYMES OF JAY-Z, AN HISTORICAL BIOGRAPHY: 1969-2004 Omékongo Dibinga, Doctor of Philosophy, 2015 Dissertation directed by: Dr. Barbara Finkelstein, Professor Emerita, University of Maryland College of Education. Department of Teaching and Learning, Policy and Leadership. The purpose of this dissertation is to explore the life and ideas of Jay-Z. It is an effort to illuminate the ways in which he managed the vicissitudes of life as they were inscribed in the political, economic cultural, social contexts and message systems of the worlds which he inhabited: the social ideas of class struggle, the fact of black youth disempowerment, educational disenfranchisement, entrepreneurial possibility, and the struggle of families to buffer their children from the horrors of life on the streets. Jay-Z was born into a society in flux in 1969. By the time Jay-Z reached his 20s, he saw the art form he came to love at the age of 9—hip hop— become a vehicle for upward mobility and the acquisition of great wealth through the sale of multiplatinum albums, massive record deal signings, and the omnipresence of hip-hop culture on radio and television. In short, Jay-Z lived at a time where, if he could survive his turbulent environment, he could take advantage of new terrains of possibility. This dissertation seeks to shed light on the life and development of Jay-Z during a time of great challenge and change in America and beyond. THE LIFE & RHYMES OF JAY-Z, AN HISTORICAL BIOGRAPHY: 1969-2004 An historical biography: 1969-2004 by Omékongo Dibinga Dissertation submitted to the Faculty of the Graduate School of the University of Maryland, College Park, in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy 2015 Advisory Committee: Professor Barbara Finkelstein, Chair Professor Steve Klees Professor Robert Croninger Professor Derrick Alridge Professor Hoda Mahmoudi © Copyright by Omékongo Dibinga 2015 Acknowledgments I would first like to thank God for making life possible and bringing me to this point in my life.

  • Building Your Chronological Resume
BUILDING YOUR CHRONOLOGICAL RESUME [email protected] 985-876-5861, Option 2 Chronological resumes order information in descending chronological order (most recent to least recent). I suggest making two resumes: a master resume and the resume you will turn into potential employers. Start with your master resume, which lists everything that you’ve done and skills that you have regardless of whether or not it pertains to any specific career or job. Then, make a copy of your master resume and weed out the irrelevant information for the position you want to apply for. (If you decide to make a master resume, make it a chronological resume instead of a skills-based resume as it does not focus on any specific skillset.) Having a master resume helps you to remember what education, experience, training, certifications, etc. you have. That way, when you apply for something new, you won’t have to wrack your brain for anything relevant you can put on it. It’s all right in front of you! MAIN COMPONENTS OF A CHRONOLOGICAL RESUME Name and Contact Information Put your full name in a clear font where it is easy to see. Don’t use a nickname. Most resumes have the individual’s name at the very top of the page in a larger font than any other information. o If you have a common name or know of others with the same name as you, putting a middle name or middle initial can minimize confusion. Put at least two reliable and up-to-date means of contact potential employers can reach you at.

Xenoblade Chronicles X Jump By BLADE A little over two years ago, the Earth was destroyed in a clash between the Ganglion and the Ghost. Whether they were coming for humanity is unknown, but after the ark ships made their escape, the Ganglion began to hunt them down. One ship, the White Whale, containing the city of New Los Angeles, crash landed after an attack. The planet showed up out of nowhere. It wasn't on any sensors, it wasn’t within visible range. One minute it wasn’t there, and the next the White Whale was crashing into it. Welcome to the planet Mira. Afterwards, the humans began to rebuild. But, somehow the Ganglion arrived first? Regardless of time/space shenanigans, take these to help you get started. +1000 cp Origins Go ahead and pick one, they’re all free. Drop In Somewhat literally, what with falling out of the sky. This origin belongs to the humans, through whether you’ve been here all along, or got pulled out of a pod is up to you. Native Slightly misleading, but this origin belongs to the Nopon, the Manon, the Qlurians, and the Gaur. I suppose, rather than ‘Natives’, this origin consists of the races who refused to side with the Ganglion Renegades Compared to Natives, this one is completely literal. The Orpheans, the Delfinians, the Prone, the Wrothians, and the Zaruboggans, all the races that once sided with the ganglion, but will soon change their minds. Ganglion Evil is relative, but this origin consists of the Ganglion, and the handful of races that still remained loyal to them.

Mukokuseki and the Narrative Mechanics in Japanese Games Hiloko Kato and René Bauer “In fact the whole of Japan is a pure invention. There is no such country, there are no such peo- ple.”1 “I do realize there’s a cultural difference be- tween what Japanese people think and what the rest of the world thinks.”2 “I just want the same damn game Japan gets to play, translated into English!”3 Space Invaders, Frogger, Pac-Man, Super Mario Bros., Final Fantasy, Street Fighter, Sonic The Hedgehog, Pokémon, Harvest Moon, Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Metal Gear Solid, Zelda, Katamari, Okami, Hatoful Boyfriend, Dark Souls, The Last Guardian, Sekiro. As this very small collection shows, Japanese arcade and video games cover the whole range of possible design and gameplay styles and define a unique way of narrating stories. Many titles are very successful and renowned, but even though they are an integral part of Western gaming culture, they still retain a certain otherness. This article explores the uniqueness of video games made in Japan in terms of their narrative mechanics. For this purpose, we will draw on a strategy which defines Japanese culture: mukokuseki (borderless, without a nation) is a concept that can be interpreted either as Japanese commod- ities erasing all cultural characteristics (“Mario does not invoke the image of Ja- 1 Wilde (2007 [1891]: 493). 2 Takahashi Tetsuya (Monolith Soft CEO) in Schreier (2017). 3 Funtime Happysnacks in Brian (@NE_Brian) (2017), our emphasis. 114 | Hiloko Kato and René Bauer pan” [Iwabuchi 2002: 94])4, or as a special way of mixing together elements of cultural origins, creating something that is new, but also hybrid and even ambig- uous.

Paranoid self-talk as dichotomous monologue to move the crowd. Part of this has to do with the deep cuts and scratches in my mind. Recorded and remixed across DNA double helixes. Structurally split. Generationally divided. A style and family history built on breaking down. Evidence of how ill I am. And then there’s the matter of skin. The material concerns of cultural cross-fertilization.
