Santa got some exercise waving here and there at the Titusville Christmas Parade Dec. 12. There were many floats, displays, vehicles, dancers and way out wacky things at the pa- rade. The Beacon’s favorite was Orange Plumbing with a guy on some sort of powered toilet complete with rolls of toilet paper flapping in the breeze. He sped by so fast, pictures aren’t available unfortunately. He must have been in a hurry doing his business. Despite the U.S. 1 road renovations, the parade followed the traditional route from Miracle City Mall through downtown. The crowd cheered at many of the floats, includ- ing the regular favorites, the Azan hillbillies who were “shooting” at a pesky remote-controlled skunk. Right, the crowd’s favorite gets funnier every year in the Titusville parade. The hillbillies were hunting a remote-con- trolled skunk. They must have been a poor shot because they kept firing at it, which made people and their pets jump. They should have lassoed the skunk with those large panties. Left, the Astronaut High School cheerleaders stopped downtown to show the crowd their aerial prowess and flexibility. Below, Girl, Boy and Cub Scouts were out in full force.

Top, crowds cheered for the Titusville High School Band as they played vari- ous Christmas favorites. Bands from Jackson and Madison Middle Schools, as well as Astronaut High Schools marched the parade route. Left, some floats you just don’t mind seeing again and again every year. No matter where you stand on the route, people always salute, stand and clap for the Support Our Troops display.
