While the sculptures reference the original emblems, the nished pieces include elements from various makes and models. During the Hot Shop Live Show on June 18, John Miller will create another piece from the classic heat series. It will have some of the same metallic surfaces and auto body references. Miller is known for creating artwork inspired by Americana. In the past he has created large-scale food and beverage items such as hamburgers, hotdogs, wings, and soft drinks. Also, Miller has made giant screwdrivers and car keys referencing the hot rod era of the 1950’s. John Miller is an associate professor of glass at Illinois State University and exhibits his work internationally.
