NSW Primary Schools These Tables Are Based on the Results of NAPLAN Tests for NSW Primary and Secondary Schools Released Yesterday by the Federal Government NSW Primary Schools These tables are based on the results of NAPLAN tests for NSW primary and secondary schools released yesterday by the Federal Government. The first two columns name the school and its location. The State Ranking is the rank the school achieved based on an average of its results for reading, writing, spelling, grammar and punctuation and numeracy in years 3 and 5 for primary schools, and years 7 and 9 for high schools. The fourth column is the ranking of the school by the Government's index of community socio-economic educational advantage (ICSEA). The rankings for each individual area; reading, writing, spelling, grammar and punctuation and numeracy as measured by its NAPLAN results in year 5, in the case of primary schools, and year 9, in the case of secondary schools. Not all schools conducted NAPLAN tests or have results. For example infant schools do not hold the tests. Not all schools gained an overall ranking because of incomplete test data. Some schools’ ICSEA data is not available. The Herald’s tables of more than 3000 NSW primary and secondary schools published on Friday omitted some schools due to a technical error. Below is an updated list of schools. If you pick up other errors, please contact our Readerlink service, [email protected] or 92821569. We appreciate all feedback and apologise for any inaccuracies. 20 February 2021 Dear Parents/Guardians It is important to note that Schools have different protocols in place for the safe provision of sport; please be aware of these. Again, if your daughter has any symptoms or if they have visited any identified locations where cases have been confirmed, please do not let them play and contact your daughter’s Co-curricular Coordinator to advise as soon as possible. This weekend sees our Girls’ teams playing against Brigidine College, Central Coast Grammar School, Chevalier College, Cranbrook School, Oakhill College, Pymble Ladies’ College, Ravenswood, St Andrew’s Cathedral School, Scots All Saints College, St Paul’s Grammar School, St Spyridon College and Waverley College, each with different COVID-19 sports’ protocols. Several schools will also be visiting Barker College for the Rugby 7s and Touch Football competitions. It is extremely important that you carefully check and follow the procedures for your venue. Please use the following steps for finding the relevant Sports fixture protocols: • Check the sports fixtures on the Barker website to find out where your child is playing https://www.barker.college/barker-college-sports-fixtures • If your child is playing at Barker two parents &/or guardians are permitted at indoor and outdoor venues for each student. Please refer to https://www.barker.college/news- events/latest-news/latest-information-coronavirus-covid-19 for the school entry points. • If your child has an away sports fixture, please check where they are playing and refer to https://www.barker.college/news-events/latest-news/latest-information-coronavirus-covid-19 for the protocols for each of the venues.

2021 NSW ALL SCHOOLS FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS MONDAY 7th and TUESDAY 8th JUNE 2021 VALENTINE SPORTS PARK MEURANTS LANE, GLENWOOD NSW NSW COMBINED CATHOLIC COLLEGES…NSW COMBINED INDEPENDENT SCHOOLS… NSW COMBINED HIGH SCHOOLS…WESTFIELDS SPORTS HIGH SCHOOL MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT WELCOME MESSAGE FROM THE NSWSSFA Welcome to these annual New South Wales Secondary Schools Football Association State Championships. We congratulate all representatives in attendance as they are the finest male and female players from the three education sectors in NSW: Combined Catholic Colleges Combined High Schools Combined Independent Schools These schools’ sectors comprise around one million students in both Primary and Secondary schools, so to gain representation at our NSW All Schools level is indeed an honour and privilege. Whilst at the Open level we acknowledge the winners of the Championships, the aim of this Round-Robin series is to traditionally select our 2021 Open Boys and Girls State Teams and our 16 & Under Boys State Team. However, in 2021 due to COVID restrictions and limitations there will be no further progression following the All Schools Championships and Merit Teams will be announced (Open Boys & Girls only) to recognise the achievements of those outstanding players across the All Schools Championships. Due to the cancellation of the School Sport Australia Championships NSWCHS made a collective decision not to par- take in this years 16 & Under Tri-Series, however the Independent and Catholic Sectors decided to proceed and invited Westfields Sports High Schools to participate as an invitational team. Our Association has some very fine players and also we are fortunate to have dedicated and professional staff across all sectors who continue to support these talented athletes and the tradition of these final State trials.
