    NEWSLETTER NO 02/2018 CHAIRMAN’S MESSAGE We are very excited about the launch of our new website www.oja.co.za. It has a fresh new look and feel, is easy to navigate and is more engaging and interactive. As we come to end of another year, we reflect on the successes, challenges and exciting changes that have taken place at the Old Johannian Association. The annual Gaudy Day celebrations were held in July, along with the Morison Abel Golf Day and Old Johannian Association Dinner. These events continue to be popular on the Old Johannian Association calendar and I would like to take this opportunity to thank the school for their generosity in hosting us at the dinner in the Rene England Auditorium and for Gaudy Day. St John’s really knows how to welcome the Old Johannians of all ages back to the school. As the Old Johannian Association, we constantly strive to improve our offering and service to our Old Johannians. We celebrated seven class reunions this year: 1958 – 60th Year Reunion, 1968 - 50th Year Reunion, 1978 - 40th Year Reunion, 1988 - 30th Year Reunion, 1993 - 25th Year Reunion, 1998 - 20th Year Reunion and 2008 - 10th Year Reunion. 1 OLD JOHANNIAN ASSOCIATION NO 2/2018 Reunions are always a wonderful opportunity for alumni to reconnect and renew old friendships. We want your reunions to become special occasions that you anticipate with delight. However, we are aware that planning these events can be difficult.
