The Rider match gets under‐ way at 7 p.m. and is a showdown for first place in the EWL. Edinboro is 4‐4 overall, with all four losses against nationally‐ranked teams, and 2‐0 in the EWL. Rider climbed back into the USA Today/NWCA Divi‐ sion I Top 25, as the Broncs are ranked 25th. Edinboro is receiving votes. Rider is 6‐0 overall and also 2‐0 in the EWL. George Mason has a 5‐7 record and is 2‐1 in the EWL prior to Friday’s match at Clarion. } The Fighting Scots will put their 19‐match EWL winning streak on the line with the two road contests. Edinboro has not lost an EWL dual since a 19‐18 defeat to Pittsburgh in their last EWL dual in 2012‐13. } Edinboro rang in the New Year with an impressive performance while competing against a strong field in the Southern Scuffle, followed by a 43‐0 shutout at Bloomsburg and two out of three wins in last EdinboroUniversityAthletics @BoroAthletics GoBoroAthleticsTV Edinboro at Rider/George Mason 2016-17 EDINBORO WRESTLING MATCH NOTES weekend’s Pitt Duals. At the Southern Scuffle, the Fighting Scots finished sixth out of 23 teams, with six Edinboro Fast Facts of the twelve wrestlers entered earning medals. Sean Russell (125 lbs.), Patricio Lugo (149 lbs.), and Dakota Geer (184 lbs.) brought home fourth place finishes. Korbin Myers and Billy Miller finished seventh Edinboro University at 133 lbs. and heavyweight, respectively, while Chase Delande was eighth at 157 lbs. Location: Edinboro, PA } Edinboro began the season with duals against three nationally‐ranked opponents. The Fighting Founded: 1857 Scots opened with a 24‐13 loss at sixth‐ranked Virginia Tech, then dropped a 20‐16 decision to 22nd‐ Enrollment: 6,181 ranked Pittsburgh in the home opener. That was followed by a 20‐13 loss to 11th‐ranked Lehigh. They Colors: Red & White picked up their first win of the year with the 31‐6 triumph over Clarion in their EWL opener. Clagon won All‐American honors in 2015 thanks to a fifth place finish at 149 lbs. Career Record: 210‐88‐5, 20th year Walsh was fifth at 157 lbs. at Nationals a year ago and was named the EWL Wrestler of the Year.
