The first notebook details Blacow's bee keeping activities and it also includes a catalog of specimens collected in Hawaii. Conditions Governing Access The collection is open for research. Biographical note Chester E. Blacow is best known for his Hawaiian bird collections. In 1911, Annie M. Alexander purchased a bird collection from Barclow. Accession numbers associated with the Blacow collection include, nos. 4419, 3815, and 3916.
