FOR: The Newton Community School District consists of approximately 3,000 students, 200 instructors and 16 administrative and support personnel. The district is housed in 11 facility complexes, eight Schools, transportation building, technology office, and one building providing maintenance support services.

The Newton CSD is soliciting bids for 420 Acer R-11 C738T Chromebooks. The proposed system must successfully be integrated with existing infrastructure, and meet the minimum requirements outlined on page 4 of this document.

The single goal of the project is to provide a better environment and more resources for students to learn and to provide a better academic environment for the students of the Newton Community School District.

The Newton Community School District is seeking quotes on: 420 (Qty) Acer 11inch C738T Chromebooks with an associated clear hard shell case, padded sleeve, and white glove service.

The use case is a cart based 1:1 program where 5th-grade students will carry the devices throughout the day (in the sleeve between classes) and place the devices back in the cart for charging at the end of the school day.

Please note that the hard shell case should not interfere with the use of the Chromebook in laptop or tablet mode.

The sleeve does not need provision for power supply.

The Chromebooks will need a Google management license and be enrolled into our Google Admin Console before delivery.
