CANADA’S LONGEST RUNNING MUSICAL VARIETY SHOW, SHIMMIES OVER TO AN ELEGANT NEW VENUE AT DEERHURST RESORT New roster of hits includes favourites from Katy Perry, Pharrell Williams and Mumford & Sons

HUNTSVILLE, ON, June 4, 2014 – The newest version of Canada’s longest running musical variety show, Decades, which has been making audiences clap, dance and sing along for over 30 years at Deerhurst Resort, has boogied over to its new home in the Waterhouse Theatre Room inside Deerhurst’s main Pavilion this May.

The brand new, state-of-the-art stage is 50 per cent bigger than the previous show stage and features customized lighting and sound systems. With the ability to accommodate up to 350 guests, the new show location is conveniently located under the same roof as many of the resort’s amenities including restaurants, the lobby lounge, meeting rooms and accommodations.

“Our new location and updated song list has turned this Decades show into a completely new experience,” says Chris Lund, general manager of Deerhurst Resort. “The show has always been a crowd-pleaser but I think new and returning guests will really be impressed that we’ve turned it up a quite a few notches this year.”

Renowned as the show that helped launch Shania Twain’s career, Decades mixes chart-topping hits from the 50s to present day, incorporating a wide range of artists from Michael Jackson to Lady Gaga. The 2014 line up has been revamped with more new content and current hits than ever, including songs by Pharrell Williams, Mumford & Sons, Lorde, Katy Perry and to name a few. The theatrical performance features over 65 songs and 300 costume changes in 90 minutes, all delivered by an incredibly talented cast.

The new show opens with a series of time-travelling medleys fusing past and present, setting the stage for the night’s . Etta James mixes with Flo Rida, The Zombies cut to Melanie Fiona, Michael Jackson morphs to . As the showcased Pitbull track says, this is night to go “Back in Time.”
