ADMISSION PROMOTION OFFERED TO 49ERS FANS

CANTON, OHIO – The Pro Football Hall of Fame is inviting fans traveling to Northeast Ohio this weekend to experience the world renowned sports attraction. The 49ers face the at First Energy Stadium on Sunday afternoon, Dec. 13. The Hall of Fame is located just 50 minutes south of Cleveland.

Any 49ers fan dressed in team gear who mentions the 49ers promotion to the Hall’s guest services staff will receive a $5 discount on regular adult, senior or child museum admission prices. The promotion runs from Friday, Dec. 11 through Monday, Dec. 14. The Hall of Fame is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

49ers in Canton

The 49ers have 14 longtime members enshrined in Pro Football Hall of Fame. They include: (Class of 2008), (Class of 2015), Jimmy Johnson (Class of 1994), (Class of 2000), Hugh McElhenny (Class of 1970), (Class of 2000), (Class of 1969), Joe Perry (Class of 1969), (Class of 2010), Bob St. Clair (Class of 1990), Y.A. Tittle (Class of 1971), Bill Walsh (Class of 1993), (Class of 2000), and (Class of 2005). In addition, there are nine other Hall of Famers who spent a minor portion of their careers with the 49ers: , , , , , , , O.J. Simpson, and .

Several significant history-making artifacts from the 49ers history are on exhibit at the Hall. A sampling includes Montana’s XIX jersey and the jersey worn by Rice when he set the NFL’s single- record for receiving in 1987. Also on display from San Francisco’s storied past include the jersey worn by Class of 2016 semifinalist in 2000 when he set the then-record with 20 catches in a game, and the shoulder pads worn by legendary Tittle throughout his entire Hall of Fame career.

Enshrinees from the Class of 2015 along with numerous other Hall of Fame members will receive the spectacular Hall of Fame Ring of Excellence by Kay® Jewelers during ceremonies held in NFL stadiums during 13 of the 17 weeks of the 2015 NFL regular season. The Hometown Hall of Famer™ program presented by Ford honors Hall of Fame heroes with a program and permanent plaque to honor the Hall of Famer’s hometown support. Now in its 4th year, the US Army-Pro Football Hall of Fame Award for Excellence honors 20 high school students nationally for excellence in community service, academics and athletics. Construction on HOF Village, a $476 million development project, is under way in Canton to transform the Hall of Fame’s campus.
