WALK-OUT

2 STATEMENTS MADE BY THE MINISTERS

1. Mr. Sikandar Hayat Khan Bosan, Minister for National Food Security and Research stated that issue of sugar-cane farmers relates to Provincial Government and suggested to constitute a committee comprising of representatives of Ministry of Commerce and Textile, National Food Security and Research, Ministry of Industries and Production and representative of all Provincial Governments to resolve the crises of farmers of sugar-cane. 2. Mr. , Minister for Commerce and Textile informed the House that grievances of sugar-cane farmers relate to the Provincial Governments. The role of Ministry of Commerce is to manage and permit exports of surplus crops, etc on recommendation of the appropriate body on merit.

57 DR. RAMESH KUMAR VANKWANI to move that the following amendment in the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the National Assembly, 2007, as reported by the Standing Committee, be taken into consideration at once. Clause 1

1) Amendments in rule 52, sub-rule (2) of rule60, rule 110, sub-rule (3) of rule 118, sub-rule (2) of rule 129, sub-rule (5) of rule 170, sub-rule (3) of rule 170 A, rule 175, sub-rule (2) of rule 198, sub- rule (3) of rule 198, sub-rule (2) of rule 200, sub- rule (4) of rule 200, rule 206, rule 210 and rule 244 of the Rules of Procedure. – Left over

a) in the proposed amendments in rules 52, 60(2),

After clause-3, the following new clause 4, shall be

“4 In rule 66, in sub-rule (1), in paragraph (b), after the word “character”, the expression “i.e, laying of reports, papers, etc.,” shall be inserted.”
