    REVISED DRIVER LINE-UP FOR NEW ERA AT TOYOTA GAZOO RACING Thursday 4 February 2016 TOYOTA GAZOO Racing today revealed the driver line-up which will lead it into a new era of World Endurance Championship competition. A completely new TS050 HYBRID car has been developed for this season, with significant changes to all areas, including monocoque, engine and hybrid system to meet the team’s ambitious performance targets. On the driver front, 2014 World Champions Anthony Davidson and Sébastien Buemi are again joined by Kazuki Nakajima for a second consecutive season together. In the other car, former TOYOTA Formula 1 racer Kamui Kobayashi steps up from test and reserve driver to a race seat for 2016, replacing the retired Alex Wurz. He will race alongside Stéphane Sarrazin and Mike Conway. Race numbers for the 2016 season will be revealed on 5 February by the Automobile Club de l’Ouest, organisers of the WEC and the Le Mans 24 Hours. Kamui’s elevation to a race seat leaves a vacancy as test and reserve driver, which will be announced, along with full technical details of the TS050 HYBRID, at a launch event on 24 March at the Paul Ricard circuit in France. The new driver line-up was announced earlier today at a TOYOTA GAZOO Racing press conference in Tokyo, Japan, at which the team’s new TOYOTA GAZOO Racing identity was also revealed. As well as an updated logo, a 2015 show car displayed the new black, white and red livery which will be modified for the TS050 HYBRID.

Herberth Motor- sport fields two Porsche 911 GT3 R at the event from July 27 to 30 driven by profes- sional and amateur drivers. Inaugurated in 1924, the 24 Hours of Spa has a long tra- dition. The squad of the two-time Le Mans winner and team owner Timo Bernhard can rely on the Porsche works drivers Michael Christensen (Denmark), Kévin Estre (France) and Laurens Vanthoor (Belgium). Vanthoor has a wealth of racing experience at his home circuit and won the endurance classic in 2014. Still, the situation will be completely new for each of them, as they’re forming a driver team for the first time. Oliver Jarvis has been driving for Audi since 2008 while Loïc Duval and Lucas di Grassi have been with the brand since 2012 – together, their time with the four rings amounts to 13 years. The generation change in Audi’s driver line-up is the reason why they now form a team for the first time. Allan McNish, Tom Kristensen and Dindo Capello, who spent between one and a half and two decades of their careers with Audi, have since retired from their active careers as race drivers. “This gave us the opportunity to combine the three younger talents into a new driver squad,” says Head of Audi Motorsport Dr. Wolfgang Ullrich. Loïc Duval already raced together with Lucas di Grassi last year. Oliver Jarvis, who in the past occupied the third cockpit in WEC races at Spa and at Le Mans, is now contesting all eight WEC rounds as a new regular driver for the first time. “This has always been my big aim.     Kausi toi mestaruuksia. Terveisiä kilpa-autoilun maailmasta. Kausi 2008 oli täynnä jännittäviä tapahtumia ja tulok- set mukavia. Ohessa kooste kauden tapahtumista. Kaudeksi 2008 valitsimme kilpailuluokaksi Formula Re- nault 2.0 –luokan ja tiimiksi Tommi Suvannon P1 Mo- torsportin. Tommilla on vuosien kokemus formuloista ja hyviä tuloksia saavutuksenaan. Autoksi sain tehdasuuden laitteen, jonka Tommi haki Italiasta maaliskuussa. Italiasta auto vietiin suoraan Eng- lantiin Alan Dockingin pajalle. Uuden auton saattaminen kilpailukuntoon vei 4-5 mekaanikolta 7 päivää ja työtun- teja kertyi keskimäärin 14 tuntia per päivä. Ei siis ihan pikkujuttu ottaa uutta Formulaa käyttöön. Työn tekemi- nen ammattilaisten avustuksella kuitenkin oli kannatta- vaa sillä yhtään teknistä vikaa ei kauden aikana ollut ja laite oli kilpailukykyinen. Ajoimme ensimmäisen ”Shake Down -testin Silverstonen Stowe radalla ja seuraavana päivänä osallistumme Englannin FR 2.0 sarjan viralli- seen testipäivään. Iltapäivällä vauhtimme oli jo kärjen tasoa ja pienet ongelmat ratkaistuna. Suuret kiitokset Alan Dockingille ja hänen henkilökun- nalleen tästä korvaavattomasta avusta. Näillä eväillä oli hyvä suunnistaa kohti Suomea. Ensimmäinen Formula Renault –kisa Riikassa 3-4.5.2008 Suomessa ajettujen Alastaron ja Vetelin testien jälkeen oli suuntanamme Latvian Riika. Siellä oli tarkoitus ajaa ensimmäinen NEZ-sarjan osakilpailu. Se oli samalla mi- nun ensimmäinen kilpailuviikonloppuni Formula Renault –luokan autolla. Riikan rata oli erittäin hieno. Keskinopeus radalla oli 170 km/h ja rataa ympäröi noin metrin korkuiset betonivallit. Radalla ei ollut juuri ollenkaan turva-aluetta, joka tarkoitti ulosajon merkitsevän täystuhoa. Yksi luokkani autoista osuikin seinään, eikä sillä sen jälkeen ole ajettu. Testit Riikassa sujui hyvin ja olin koko testien ajan no- pein, vaikka olin ensimmäistä kertaa radalla. Aika-ajot sujui testien tapaan hyvin ja otin paalut molempiin lähtöi- hin.
