Mike Clay's 2020 NFL Projection Guide
Mike Clay's 2020 NFL Projection Guide Updated: 9/10/2020 Glossary: Page 2-33: Team Projections Page 34-44: QB, RB, WR and TE projections Page 45-48: Category Leader projections Page 49: Projected standings, playoff teams and 2021 draft order Page 50: Projected Strength of Schedule Page 51: Unit Grades Page 52-61: Positional Unit Ranks Understanding the graphics: *The numbers shown are projections for the 2020 NFL regular season (Weeks 1-17). *Some columns may not seem to be adding up correctly, but this is simply a product of rounding. The totals you see are correct. *Looking for sortable projections by position or category? Check out the projections tab inside the ESPN Fantasy game. *'Team stat rankings' is where each team is projected to finish in the category that is shown. *'Unit Grades' is not related to fantasy football and is an objective ranking of each team at 10 key positions. The overall grades are weighted based on positional importance. The scale is 4.0 (best) to 0.1 (worst). A full rundown of Unit Grades can be found on page 51. *'Strength of Schedule Ranking' is based on 2020 rosters (not 2019 team record). '1' is easiest and '32' hardest. See the full list on page 50. *Note that prior to the official release of the NFL schedule (generally late April/early May), the schedule shown includes the correct opponents, but the order is random *Have a question? All-Gator Bowl Team Based Off Gator Bowl Performance OFFENSE
All-Gator Bowl Team Based Off Gator Bowl Performance OFFENSE Quarterback (Vote for 1) Matt Cavanaugh (Pittsburgh QB 1975 – 1977) Pitt exploded for 566 total yards and a record 30 first downs. Cavanaugh threw for 387 yards and 4 touchdowns to shoulder his team’s offense and lead them to a win over the South Carolina Gamecocks. Chip Ferguson (Florida State QB 1985 – 1988) The Seminoles accounted for 597 yards of total offense in 1985 and 338 came via QB Chip Ferguson’s arm. He added 2 touchdowns as the Seminoles would go on to defeat the Oklahoma State Cowboys 34-23. Kim Hammond (Florida State QB 1965 – 1967) Penn State looked to put the 1967 Gator Bowl away early, and by the looks of the first half they succeeded. Penn State took a comfortable 17-0 lead into halftime. Kim Hammond simply took over in the second half. Hammond completed 37 passes for 362 yards, both records that eclipsed former FSU quarterback Steve Tensi. Hammond scored twice; once on the ground and once through the air. 14 of his completions were to his favorite target, Ron Sellers, who caught for 145 yards. The Seminoles stormed back and nailed a field goal with 15 seconds left to end the game in a 17-17 tie. Graham Harrell (Texas Tech QB 2005 – 2008) Harrell had one of the most successful Gator Bowl performances against the Virginia Cavaliers. He set the bowl record in passing attempts (69), completions (44), and yards gained (407). He threw for 3 touchdowns to lead the Red Raiders to a 38-35 victory over the Cavaliers and was named game MVP. -

2018 Notre Dame Football Pro Day: by the Numbers
2018 Notre Dame Football Pro Day: By The Numbers ❏ Nine former University of Notre Dame football players worked out at the annual Fighting Irish Football Pro Day today at the Guglielmino Athletics Complex and Loftus Sports Center. ❏ Height and weight measurements, vertical jump, broad jump and bench press were all conducted at Haggar Fitness Complex within the Guglielmino Complex. ❏ The 40-yard dash, pro agility (20-yard shuttle), 60-yard shuttle, three-cone drill and position-specific drills all occurred on Meyo Field at Loftus Sports Center. ❏ Players worked out in front of 58 representatives from all 32 NFL teams. ❏ RB Josh Adams, LB Greer Martini, OT Mike McGlinchey, LB Nyles Morgan, OG Quenton Nelson, TE Durham Smythe, WR Equanimeous St. Brown, DL Andrew Trumbetti and QB Malik Zaire all participated in the Pro Day. ❏ Trumbetti was the only player to take part in every drill. Martini and Morgan only skipped the bench press. Adams did not do the bench press or the pro agility (20-yard shuttle). Zaire did not do the bench press or the 60-yard shuttle. ❏ St. Brown did the vertical jump and position drills, while Nelson, Smythe and McGlinchey only did position drills. ❏ Adams was clocked at 4.48 in the 40-yard dash, which would’ve ranked fifth among his position group at the 2018 NFL Combine. The only running backs that recorded quicker times at the combine were Nyheim Hines, NC State (4.38), Saquon Barkley, Penn State (4.40), Kalen Ballage, Arizona State (4.46) and Rashaad Penny, San Diego State (4.46). -
Ojemudia, Michael
Cornerback Michael Ojemudia drafted by Denver Broncos in third round of NFL draft By Ryan O’Halloran The Denver Post April 24, 2020 The Broncos started their busy third round Friday night by using the 77th overall pick on Iowa cornerback Michael Ojemudia. Ojemudia joins receivers Jerry Jeudy (first round) and KJ Hamler (second round) as the Broncos’ first three picks. Cornerback was a need for the Broncos after losing Chris Harris in free agency to the Los Angeles Chargers. They acquired veteran A.J. Bouye from Jacksonville last month and also have Bryce Callahan, who missed all of 2019 with a foot injury. Listed at a shade under 6-foot-1 (200 pounds), Ojemudia ran the 40-yard dash in 4.45 seconds at the combine. Ojemudia, 22, spent five years at Iowa, appearing in 51 games (22 starts) and making 125 tackles and six interceptions. A college teammate of Broncos tight end Noah Fant and inside linebacker Josey Jewell, Ojemudia was a full-time starter only in 2019 and was third-team All-Big Ten (team-high 12 pass break-ups and three interceptions). Broncos Analysis: Drew Lock’s good week continues with drafting of receiver and center By Ryan O’Halloran The Denver Post April 24, 2020 Aside from the unblocked blitzer delivering a jaw-rattling hit or the after-a-loss video sessions, most days are fun for an NFL quarterback. Fun is the best way to describe Drew Lock’s week … and he didn’t throw a pass, didn’t meet with new offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur and didn’t play a game.
