There is also the internationally renowned Concerts Thursday 5 November Asko|Schönberg, our ensemble in residence, which plays no fewer than four concerts. Florian Magnus Maier and Wilbert Bulsink are this year’s composers Concerts Friday 6 November 15 in focus who are fond of breaking through musical boundaries; each in their own way. Both Wende and Julia Holter put a whole new slant on (rock) songs. Accordionist Kimmo Pohjonen and the Raggaze Quartet also refuse to be Concerts Saturday 7 November 18 confined to a particular genre. Naturally, Fred Frith continues to think out of the box after all these years. At the festival, he collaborates with the Zwerm guitar Concerts Sunday 8 November 25 quartet.
