The,l954j original line-up of the Chris Barber Band, photographed circa Spring Left to right, Chris Barber,,Jim Bray, Ron Bowden Pat ,1954 played Halcox and .'l00 0n l4ay 3)st. .l989,they their first engagement at London's Club. 0n May 3lst. 35 years on, they '100 will all re-assemble at 0xford Street along with the present band and members of Chrjs' very first amateur band formed in 1949. Space did not al'low us to ment.ion in the last newsletter the 'new face' in the drum chair. Some by now will already have noticed that Alan t^Jickett has replaced Norman Emberson on drums. Alan previously played with the bands of Steve Gibbons and Steve Marriott and was earlier a member of the Sammy Rimington Quartet. ******************************************************************* )k****
