PART THREE THE SHADOWS: SPANISH EPs 1960–1967 196 INTRODUCTION This is a review of the twenty-six Spanish EPs credited to The Shadows along with six further releases headlining Cliff Richard but containing Shadows (Drifters) material. All were released between 1960 and 1967 — 1962 and 1963 being the peak years — on the HMV label, in Spanish La voz de su amo (“The voice of his master”). In subsequent years EPs were supplanted by singles with picture sleeves. File 9 is this Introduction. Files 10/11 itemise and describe the EPs. There are three appendices (File 12) : the first provides scans together with track-listings of the 65 EPs credited to both Cliff Richard & The Shadows and to The Shadows in their own right over the years 1959–1967; the second contains a colour-coded pathfinder to Shadows recordings embraced by EPs over the years 1960–1967; the third is an A–Z of the all the Shadows titles examined in this feature. Comparative Material In the commentary comparisons have regularly been drawn with related product worldwide. Brief discographical details are appended to each item. It is to be assumed throughout that for any given EP it is the date of first release together with the catalogue number proper to that release that is specified, no account being taken of reissues. So for example (France) Columbia ESDF 1357 is listed, not reissue ESRF 1432. The point is especially relevant in the case of UK issues, where overseas markets very often made them their own and, while retaining the titles, naturally applied their own catalogue numbers and in many instances their own artwork as well. -
Solomon's Wisdom Is Not Philosophy; Rather, It Is an Ability to Perceive and to Describe the Simple, Godly Life That Leads to Happiness
PROVERBS A Description of The Secret Pathway to Happiness John David Clark, Sr. This book is dedicated to the young, who are precious in the sight of God and in the eyes of those who are like Him. It is not written as a substitute for the wonderful books of Proverbs and Ecclesiastes, but only to acquaint the young reader with some of their beauty and wisdom. Solomon’s Wisdom: The Secret Pathway to Happiness ISBN- - Second edition, 2010 copyright 1999, John Clark, Sr. SOLOMON’S WISDOM P. O. Box 99 Burlington, NC 27216-0099 visit these web sites: www.GoingtoJesus.com www.Isaiah58.com and for good music all day long, go to: www.SongsofRest.com INTRODUCTION You want to be happy; everybody does. When you as a newborn cried in your mother's arms, you cried because you wanted to be happy. And that same yearning for happiness drives you now to do whatever you do and whatever you say. We are all desperate travelers in this confusing and tormented world. Old and young, rich and poor, wise and foolish, we are all striving and yearning together from the moment of birth for happiness. That longing for happiness drives all people at all times to do whatever they do; it drives the treasure hunter as well as the thief, to risk his life for gold; it inspires the astronaut to circle the earth, and it motivates the lazy bum to beg for a piece of bread. The irrepressible human longing for happiness motivates men to go fishing, to sleep late, to study microbes, to play games or to do work, to invent new materials or to vandalize masterpieces, to love and to cherish or to hate and kill, to write books or to read them, to become martyrs or to conquer empires, to believe in God or to deny that He exists. -

GREGOR PIATIGORSKY written by S. and S. Applebaum for Celloheaven GREGOR PIATIGORSKY PART A – Biographical Details By Celloheaven One of the pre-eminent string players of the 20th century, Gregor Piatigorsky was born in Ukraine in 1903, and died in Los Angeles in 1976. His international solo career lasted over 40 years, and especially during the 1940's and early 1950's he was the world's premier touring cello virtuoso -- Casals was in retirement, Feuermann had died, and the three artists who were to succeed Piatigorsky (Starker, Rose, and Rostropovich) were still in their formative stages. His one true peer, Fournier, was limited in his travelling abilities by polio. Thus, Piatigorsky had the limelight almost to himself. He was gregarious, loved to travel and perform anywhere, and he hobnobbed as easily with farmers in small towns as he did with Toscanini, Stravinsky, Rubenstein, and Schoenberg. -

ÖBKT JAAROVERZICHT 1987 DEELl .RAAD VAN BEHEER .RADIO .TELEVISE Jaaroverzicht 1987. -
