X-TeX – Cross Texture Our new X-Tex internal molding process provides increased torsional rigidity and reduced weight to give you the stiffest possible bike at the lowest weight possible. X-TEX incorporates an X-shaped grid that into the layup that is internally molded into the carbon structure.
CNT – Carbon Nano Tube The ultimate evolution of nano-technology. Carbon nano tubes are allotropes of carbon with a cylindrical nanostructure. They exhibit extraordinary strength, and combined with epoxy resin and nano-powder (the base of nanotechnology) provide an increase of fracture toughness by 49% compare to standard resin, 20% higher than nanotechnology.
Nano Power Technology Nano-scaled particles are added to the matrix during the manufacturing process. These tiny particles fill small gaps between individual carbon strands, increasing durability and impact resistance.
WMP – Wrinkleless Molding Process This process involves careful control of the laminate to eliminate wrinkles in the carbon fabric during the layup process. This provides for tighter control of the frames’ properties and eliminates variations caused by wrinkles that may affect the laminate thickness.
UTSS – Ultra Thin Seat Stay Transmission of power to the rear wheel is transmitted primarily via the chainstays. The primary role of the seatstays is to harmonize the load distribution. Chainstays are engineered to maximize power transmission while seatstays use thinner wall sections to reduce weight.
BAT and K-VID Usually a road racing bike is stiff in all directions. High performance but not comfortable. The objective with these technologies is to obtain different stiffness behaviors under different loads/forces which improves comfort without compromising performance.
HYDROFORMING Hydroforming is a technique to shape the tubing by injecting the tubes with fluid at extremely high pressure (1,200 bar). The tubing is formed and shaped to provide increased structural rigidity and strength.
BB30 BB30 is a new industrial standard for bottom brackets that is stronger and lighter than standard bottom brackets-. The weight of the crank is reduced by eliminating the BB cups and using an alloy oversize spindle that increases the stiffness of the crankset. The BB30 bearings are larger than those used in other systems and it extends the bearings life.
