STATEMENT:
“ I am interested in formlessness. There is a joy in abandoning form that enables me to effectively reimagine and recontextualise pornography, fashion iconography or ceramics. In the process of reduction, or laying bare, there is inevitable waste, and I’m consistently drawn to include these elements of waste in my work. I frequently use source material that’s subversive to some – the porn in ‘Tiny Pricks’, urination on the streets in ‘120 Wet Nights of Sodom’ or carcinogenic materials in ‘Cancer Cups’.”
