At this magical time of year, let us all stop a moment and simply count our blessings. It is easy to get caught up in the celebration of holidays, so we need to take time to hug the ones we love and spend time creating happy memories. As Norman Vincent Peale said, “Christmas waves a magic wand over this world, and behold, everything is softer and more beautiful.” I want to wish each of you Peace, Love and Joy as we enter the New Year! Our December meeting has come and gone, and the new slate of oficers has been installed. Once again, I want to thank Allison Nathan Getz for serving as President of GTRW for the past two years. She is a superb leader, and we are so fortunate that she will continue to lend her talents to our organization. Please join us on January 6th for our monthly meeting. State Representative Dade Phelan (R-District 21) will give a legislative update and discuss details regarding Senate Bill 7, a bill he co-authored with Senator Creighton pertaining to Hlood relief on the Gulf Coast. Linda Brown is busy collecting membership forms and dues for 2020. We all know Linda will not give up until she exceeds the record-breaking membership numbers of 2019. Just a reminder: Regardless of when you paid your dues in 2019, your 2020 dues should be paid now. Finally, let me say I’m very honored to be asked to lead this dynamic group of Republican Women (and men) for the next year. I don’t know the answers to all the questions that will come my way, but I promise to do my best to ind someone who does. HOW RUPERT MURDOCH’S EMPIRE OF INFLUENCE REMADE THE WORLD Part 1: Imperial Reach Murdoch And His Children Have Toppled Governments On Two Continents And Destabilized The Most Important Democracy On Earth. What Do They Want? By Jonathan Mahler And Jim Rutenberg 3rd April 2019 1. ‘I LOVE ALL OF MY CHILDREN’ Rupert Murdoch was lying on the floor of his cabin, unable to move. It was January 2018, and Murdoch and his fourth wife, Jerry Hall, were spending the holidays cruising the Caribbean on his elder son Lachlan’s yacht. Lachlan had personally overseen the design of the 140-foot sloop — named Sarissa after a long and especially dangerous spear used by the armies of ancient Macedonia — ensuring that it would be suitable for family vacations while also remaining competitive in superyacht regattas. The cockpit could be transformed into a swimming pool. The ceiling in the children’s cabin became an illuminated facsimile of the nighttime sky, with separate switches for the Northern and Southern Hemispheres. A detachable board for practicing rock climbing, a passion of Lachlan’s, could be set up on the deck. But it was not the easiest environment for an 86-year-old man to negotiate. Murdoch tripped on his way to the bathroom in the middle of the night. Murdoch had fallen a couple of other times in recent years, once on the stairs while exiting a stage, another time on a carpet in a San Francisco hotel. The family prevented word from getting out on both occasions, but the incidents were concerning. This one seemed far more serious.

  • Dominion Complaint Against Fox News Network
IN THE SUPERIOR COURT OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE ) US DOMINION, INC., DOMINION ) VOTING SYSTEMS, INC., and ) DOMINION VOTING SYSTEMS ) CORPORATION, ) ) Plaintiffs, ) ) Case No. v. ) ) JURY TRIAL DEMANDED FOX NEWS NETWORK, LLC, ) ) Defendant. ) ) COMPLAINT 1. Fox, one of the most powerful media companies in the United States, gave life to a manufactured storyline about election fraud that cast a then-little- known voting machine company called Dominion as the villain. After the November 3, 2020 Presidential Election, viewers began fleeing Fox in favor of media outlets endorsing the lie that massive fraud caused President Trump to lose the election. They saw Fox as insufficiently supportive of President Trump, including because Fox was the first network to declare that President Trump lost Arizona. So Fox set out to lure viewers back—including President Trump himself— by intentionally and falsely blaming Dominion for President Trump’s loss by rigging the election. 1 2. Fox endorsed, repeated, and broadcast a series of verifiably false yet devastating lies about Dominion. These outlandish, defamatory, and far-fetched fictions included Fox falsely claiming that: (1) Dominion committed election fraud by rigging the 2020 Presidential Election; (2) Dominion’s software and algorithms manipulated vote counts in the 2020 Presidential Election; (3) Dominion is owned by a company founded in Venezuela to rig elections for the dictator Hugo Chávez; and (4) Dominion paid kickbacks to government officials who used its machines in the 2020 Presidential Election. 3. Fox recklessly disregarded the truth. Indeed, Fox knew these statements about Dominion were lies. Specifically, Fox knew the vote tallies from Dominion machines could easily be confirmed by independent audits and hand recounts of paper ballots, as has been done repeatedly since the election.
